I understand why you believe that nukular radiation is the bugaboo of the millenium - and as with many such things, that's the US Government's fault - but the statement is, in fact, accurate. If an atomic bomb is going to hurt you, lingering ionizing radiation is the least of your worries as to how. You might as well be concerned about breathing carbon monoxide poisoning while you're riding your unicycle down the freeway. You've got bigger problems right then, what I mean to say…

The pictures in this are so strange. Is that woman in the "IF AT HOME" section holding a mutant baby? What is she doing, shutting off her power? Calling someone?

And the very last picture - the couple standing in their porch while the city burns around them. A couple of guys are trying to help, but there's a woman just sitting sadly on the steps. Pick up a shovel and get working, people!

BTW, I'll have you all know that I prevented nuclear war by sleeping with the hall light on while I was a kid. I was convinced that if I left a light on, no one would nuke us. And look, it worked!

it's amazing quite how little people really knew about radiation back then. the naiveté of the 1950's...*sigh*

radiation is the least harmful, *snerk*


sorry, i can't be very funny, i'm really really sick and highly medicated because of it. but you guys, are hilarious^.^
