Yup, the tiny Isetta saved BMW's bacon back in the '50s.

Not sure what chimney-sweeps have to do with anything, tho'.

From what I've heard, Jonathan Ive found some inspiration in these cars for the original iMac. Someone then remarked that it looked like a gumdrop, and the colours and translucency went from there...
