Some drink recipes named after the new BSG characters and series.  I love some of the names.

Mmmmmm. Yummy!

Now, if only we could afford it.

Contest!

I realize this lessens my chance for winning, but sharing is caring.
This is worth winning.
Of course there's a catch!

Twisted Oak Cave Loot for 2009

  • Nov. 23rd, 2008 at 2:39 PM
I just got (well okay, a week ago) Twisted Oak's 2009 Event Schedule.

The Pirate Cave Loot is on August 15, 2009.
Right after Worldcon!!!!!

For those of you who did not go to Jumpin' Cork Con, this was the winery that went all out for us.  They took us on a tour, did a barrel tasting, and arranged dinner at "The Grounds" where we had the brief brush of fame with Dennis Franz.
They are what I would consider what Bonny Doon Vineyards was about six years ago as far as the "fun-o-meter" is concerned.  (Sigh, et tu Randall?)
I belong to their club, and enjoy the varieties that have been delivered thus far.  A group of us have lamented about not having the time to do the cave loot.  Now that we know the date, are you twisted? in?  I promise if we do, we'll get better accommodations than last time.

CA winery book

  • Oct. 20th, 2008 at 10:34 PM
According to my AAA Via magazine, on November 17th ucpress.edu will release a book by John Winthrop Haeger entitled "Pacific Pino Noir: A Comprehensive Winery Guide for Consumers and Connoisseurs", profiling 200 CA and OR wineries.
Archie McPhee's Latest Offerings.  They would have tasted a whole lot better than Atomic Fireballs!
