Notes: Well, this is ALL up in my squicks and since I'm like that, I confronted them. No, I will never ever like the idea of Seifer/Edea being anything but a perversion of a mother/son relationship because Ultimecia's a nihilist crazyhead, but I can actually write Edea's traumatic experiences now without crying (yeah... I'm telling you ALL UP IN MY SQUICKS AND ISSUES). Anyway, yeah. And if I get any "well I liked Seifer more than Cid he's stupid" comments, I'm deleting them. For srs. And this actually fits into my Empire arc, as sort of backstory. Yeah, this might have something to do with Seifer not hanging with the SeeD kids anymore.

Notes: I know, I like May/December, so shoot me, they're probably closer in maturity than most I like. This was actually a joy to write, because it was some crazyfuck governmental stuff from the perspective of a good guy. This is not something I get to do often. But since I've been RPing him, I think I've got a decent voice, even if due to circumstance he's a bit more subdued than usual. And I finally get to explain the start of the Empire! Yay! The title is more of the 'hey guess the song lyric' that all the other titles in this arc have, so why break tradition? And I love this song a lot.

Summary: Quistis is a General of the Empire now, even if her reasons are less than martial.

Notes: Well, I managed to eek out another one-shot in the Empire arc, and it's been... god a long time. I really like Quistis most when she's big sisterly, so that probably colored this a lot, as well as attempted to advance the general "plot" which really works backwards, if you think about it. Since, ah, the last time I worked on any of these stories was freaking 2007, I'll link to the other ones in the arc, since this was references both of them: Perfect Color Me, and Choke Until I Swallow. I'll prolly do another Quistis POV one because this one was shorter, plus it's fun?

Notes: So, I think I have an arc now, which I am calling Empire because I like this crazy world setup I've got going. Everyone's apparently batshit insane, though. And I clearly need a Seifer icon. Props go to the band Tool for providing me angry young man music with which Seifer's tone was established. This one is set before "Perfect Color Me" which should be obvious considering the other story.

Notes: Written because of the kissing meme on LJ and the fact this idea ran away with me. I can't help but like this, though, and want to write more stuff with Xu in it. The title is taken from the song "Extreme Ways" by Moby because I am obsessed with that song and it helped to write this. And Nine Inch Nails. I have no idea how my brain grokked all that. This is the first story in the Empire arc (though not chronologically).
