Hi, I have a beginners question about Premiere Pro CS4.
I'm trying to make subclips from an actual film-sequence, but I only want the video footage without the audio - in a previous version of Premiere, there was a toggle in the source panel where you could switch between video only, audio only and video/audio. However, here I simply can't find it and any online handbook might see this as too obvious a fact to actually answer it.
Therefore I'd like to ask here. Do you know how to do that?
Hi folks, I just joined and I am posting because I want to learn an effect, but I'm not sure how to go about doing it. Some friends and I are working on a parody short where the objects in the footage need to be animated somehow. I have premier pro, after effects, etc (entire cs4 creative suite) so programs aren't an issue, I just need help going about it. If you could post instructions, tutorials, etc. That would be great, I tried googling but I guess I don't have the right key terms so I didn't find anything useful. I hope this is in the right place! Thanks.
Hey, everyone. With a little luck, one of you trained artists or professionals have seen this before and can tell me what I'm doing wrong.
I've been using Premiere to edit roller derby video for the past few months, and I've noticed a consistent problem when I burn the footage to DVD. The video always looks good in the preview screen, and if I make an AVI, it looks fine during playback. When I burn it to a DVD, however, the footage starts to take on a "choppy" look, like frames are getting discarded. This is especially easy to see on the footage shot from the better of my two cameras. Looks great...every frame is nice and crisp...but the motion isn't as fluid as it should be.
I've produced DVDs using Encore through a Dynamic Link and I've also just exported AVI files and used Windows DVD Maker. In both cases, I'm still seeing the same result.
I should also note that I used to use Adobe Premiere Elements, export an AVI file, then burn it to DVD with Nero, and in that case, I didn't see this choppiness. So, I'm sure it's some combination of settings I'm using in Premiere.
I have the Beyond Media software that came with my firefly remote and video card but its kind of slow and buggy. My TV freezes somtimes when I stop and start the program. Looking for something just like it though.
Im messing with my computer, and I have it connected to my HDTV projection tv, so I can watch movies and shows Ive downloaded..its a pain though.
I have it connected with a DVI cable to the DVI video card in my PC. I have to manually drag the video player from the desktop over to the TV, and position it so I can see it. Its a pain.
I know other home theater geeks have their computers connected and stuff like this but not sure how.
Of course they have much more expensive LCD/PLASMA TVs that are better for this then my older projection tv which is not good for doubling as a computer monitor at all...just for videos and stuff.
Anyone give me any advise how to do this?
I have that firefly/snapshot video card with the crappy remote control also, but it crashes every god dammed time I try to use it. I hate windows XP..Should I get vista or Windows Media Center?
I cancled my cable tv, cause I can download or watch my programs on their websites for free. I dont watch much tv.
Hi! I have to make a short-film/videoclip for school, and I'm really very excited about it. I've always been interested in filming, but now that I have the chance to make a short-film, I don't know what to do.
We're paired up, and I get to work with a girl my age (18). We both agreed we wanted something emotional. The story goes kind of like this: You see two friends, one of them is very "distant", she doesn't let the other one in, and builds emotional walls. The other friend tries to reach for her heart, and tear down those walls, but that doesn't work, and the first girl commits suicide in the end (we won't exactly show this, but it should be kinda clear). The whole story will have a Japanese theme to it (we might go filming in a Japanese garden), and it won't be bound to time (as in; no computers or tv, not showing the friendship between those two at a party or while reading magazines, but more so as walking together in a garden, etc.). Words that we would like to be able to use to describe the video are "fragile, hope, sadness, weltschmerz, etc.".
I know this may seem very heavy, but we agreed we really want to give it a shot. The music we want to use is "Until it sleeps" by Apocalyptica (cover).
Any ideas on what scenes we could use? How we should film the stuff? What we should include? How would you do it?
I'm in need of replacing the DVD authoring software I was using and would appreciate recommendations for some low-cost solutions (as in, $100 or less). My needs are rather simple, 99% of the time it's just keeping copies of recorded TV shows, but some flexibility would be nice.
Thanks!
UPDATE: Anyone who has used DVD Styler, could I get your comments on it?
