Cora crossed over last night around 1 am in her sleep in San Leandro Hospital. She left us when the veil was thin to be reunited with Victor. She had hoped to die in her own home and make it to May 3rd, their anniversary. I am not sad that she did not make it to the 3rd because this way she gets to be with Victor on her anniversary. I am not sad that she died in the Hospital, because Thorn, Anaar, Valerie, Donna, and so many others made that Hospital room her home. They sang to her and Anaar whispered in her ear “its Beltane, Cora.” Victor’s spirit was there helping prepare her and calming Anaar and others. Cora’s spirit became brighter on Monday when we first brought her to the Hospital and I thought it was going to leave us then. I should have known she would wait for the veil to thin to make her move.

She got to stay in her home right up to the point where the Hospital visit was a blessing to help ease her pain. She got to talk to Elon and Marguerite to let them know they were doing the right thing by letting her go. She recently had three amazing parties at her house (Thanksgiving, her Book release, and her 93rd birthday). She got to see the Feri community grow and unite in common cause to help her. She will be greatly missed, but we are so grateful she has been freed from pain and can find peace with Victor. She will soon be making Cornbread for the Gods.

I live far from california and never got to meet Cora but I wanted to add my thanks for all you did and for making the extra effort to share here with those of us who are far away in body.

I am reading this message with a sense of grief and relief. I am sorry that I never got to meet this remarkable woman, and I am relieved that her suffering is over.

Thank you so much for all that you have done for Cora during these last years of her life. You are her family and kin in the truest sense of the word.

Thank you for allowing me to assist in a small way in caring for her. I was honored to have that opportunity.

May she find peace and delight in the arms of her Beloved.
