The purpose of this site is to:
1.) Act as a resource center and community for pre-vet and veterinary students. Hence, the community title :D
2.) Have a community of people interested in the proper care and medical treatment of pets, farm animals, exotics, zoo animals, and wildlife. By this, it means members have a background in, knowledge of, and/or strong interest in animal care, research, etc...
3.) Discuss veterinary well-care, diagnosis and treatment of illnesses. Please be aware that we are not yet veterinarians, and thus cannot provide you with medical advice for your pet. When in doubt, take your pet to the veterinarian.
Together we strive to better the lives of our beloved pets and animals <3
Our Community's Rules:
1.) This is not an activism site. Please direct activist posts elsewhere.
2.) Please post anything that *may* offend some people behind a cut. Photos of rectal palpations, especially gory surgeries, or even malformed reproductive organs; or stories of prank phone calls (you know which ones I'm talking about); etc..
3.) Except for certain scientific matters, please try to keep posts PG-13 (i.e., no f-bombs). Due to the nature of the previous rule, this is pretty much limited to "try not to use unnecessarily foul language"; if quoting something someone else said, try to star **** stuff out.
4.) Veterinarians are professionals. This community is dedicated to our growth as pre-professionals into veterinary professionals. You will be expected to communicate with each other in a respectful and professional manner at all times.
5.) This is not a place for you to post about how you berated someone over...whatever.
6.) If you somehow managed to get banned, it is a lifetime ban. Don't come back under another username.
7.) Posts asking for medical advice for a pet may be subject to deletion at Maintainers' discretion.
