Tomato-pasta soup (Finnish)

Tomato-pasta soup (4-6 portions)

1-2 red chilipaprikas
1 onion
150-170g small mushrooms
2 tbsp oil
1 can (appr. 400g) tomato-olivesauce (Barilla, but anything goes and I find using whatever kind of pastasauce or just chunked tomatoes goes as well)
½ litre good fish broth (can be made from bouillon cubes and water after direction from the stock you're using. I used vegetable broth.)
2½ dl screw pasta
1 tsp dry thyme
1-2 tbsp capers (can be left out. in other words, i left them out cause i don't like them)
200g coldsmoked salmon
2 tbsp chopped chives or till

Rinse and chop up the chilipaprika and remove the grains. Chop up the onion an clean the mushrooms. Warm the oil in a pot and put the vegetables into it and cook for 3-4 minutes while stirring.

Put the tomato sauce, fish broth, pasta and thyme into the pot and cook for 10-12 minutes. Put the capers, the cut up coldsmoked salmon and the chives into the pot.

Let simmer for 5-10 minutes. Serve with wholegrain bread.
