supermarket friendly, no baking recipes
Just got Veganomicon and I want to ask your guys' opinion on whether to try the following recipes. I know there are a lot of these posts, but these are specifically the
Although I do have a Whole Foods nearby...I'm broke, so I try to do most of my shopping at a regular grocery store. Also I don't have a conventional oven (only a toaster oven), so I've eliminated recipes that require baking.
-Greek style tomato zucchini fritters w. fresh herbs (pg 52)
-Blueberry corn pancakes (76)
-Quinoa salad with black beans and mango (84)
-Chile cornmeal crusted tofu (125)
-Porcini wild rice soup (140)
-Baked potato and greens soup with potato wedge croutons (146)
-Spicy peanut and eggplant soup (147)
-Tomato and roasted eggplant stew with chickpeas (179)
Plus these, if I decide to "splurge" on a meal
-Cholent (182)
-Pineapple cashew quinoa stir fry (175)
-Acorn squash, pear, and adzuki soup with sauteed shiitakes (136)
-Grilled yuca tortillas (49)
