ABC scores extended interview with Janet Jackson



ABC News’ Robin Roberts will talk with Janet Jackson in the pop star’s first extended television interview since her brother Michael’s death in June, ABC News announced. The hour-long special, which is called In the Spotlight with Robin Roberts: Janet Jackson, is scheduled to air Nov. 18 on ABC and will reportedly be the first time Jackson has allowed TV cameras to enter her Malibu home.

i need some time to pass before all this instant memorializing can take place. i heard 'this is it' was great, but i probably won't watch it for a year or so when i can truly be nostalgic and it feels a bit less like exploitation. is janet promoting something or is she just talking about her brother for the sake of talking because sweetie, you don't have to give an interview on grief. you don't owe that to anyone.

Janet's greatest hits album drops the day before the interview, so she is promoting something. However, Janet is probably the MJ relative people want to hear the most from so of course they're going to ask her about her brother.

I love Janet so much it's ridiculous. I can quasi-see how unlike myself fans are so rabid over folk like Beyonce and Rihanna and Gaga as I was once with fever over Miss Jackson. I love her so much! LOL I can't wait for this interview and for new music and this has reminded me that I missed out on buying her Bazaar magazine cover edition thingy. *weeps* Thanks for the news!
