The Vancouver Podcast

The Vancouver Podcast is your direct podcast source for talk and play in and about North America's best city, Vancouver, Canada.

Whether you're looking for something to do this weekend, a place to plug your gig or a soapbox for your rants, VP is for you, the Vancouver community.

Independent and casual, VP releases an episode pretty much whenever the hell I feel like it.

Let me know if you have any ideas or if you'd like to help out.

will definitely pass this on to all the poet people i know who have gigs around town. are you doing any interviews on the show, or is it mostly focused on events?

Thanks! The format is still pretty much up in the air. I'd like to try doing interviews, but first I'll need to get my headset working properly with Skype or something and then figure out how to record that. I've got some learning to do, since this is entirely on my own (for now!).

best city? man, I love this town but it sure isn't the best city. Try "the city with the highest rate of HIV and Hep C".

I guess I could have said "city that ranks consistently at or near the top for quality of life", but it doesn't have the same ring to it.

Which North American cities are "better" in your opinion?

From a technical standpoint, it sounds good, your voice is clear, and the levels sound fine. Just wondering, what kind of setup are you using to make these podcasts?

Thanks. I'm just using a USB headset and an iMac. I record the audio in Spark and then edit and insert music in Soundtrack. Seems to work well enough.
