Let's go on vacation with Pablo!

Besides playing for the national team, Pablo spent his summer learning to play golf, avoiding the sun so he wouldn't turn tomato red and playing with his new toy...

TRANSFER NEWS/RUMOURS:

Miguel
According to the Daily Mirror, Aston Villa is interested in signing Miguel for 5.8 million euros. Tottenham is also interested in the player.

Source: Superdeporte

Raul Albiol
Real Madrid wants him and his agent has spoken to both clubs. Real Madrid has valued him to be worth 15 million euros.

Guaita & Jordi Alba
- Guaita will be on loan to Liga Adelante (aka Segunda Division) side Real Murcia next season without an option for them to purchase him
- Valencia is looking to loan Jordi Alba to a team in Primera Division

Source: Superdeporte

Granero or Emana
We're interested in both midfielders. Real Betis want 15 million euros for Emana, while Getafe want 8 million euros for Granero. Getafe would like Michel, but we're only willing to send Michel out on loan to get playing time in Primera. They are also interestd in Montoro, who spent the last season on loan at Real Murcia.

Bruno will sign for three seasons

The right back will have his medical on Wednesday and will sign on Thursday. He played at Almeria last season, but we've had to negotiate with Real Betis. After they got relegated, their deal with Bruno fell through, but we have to negotiate some things with them since Bruno had given them their word. Last week, we agreed a fee of €1.5 million with Real Betis and this week we negotiated the details with the player.

Miguel Ángel Moyà

We're very close to signing Mallorca's goalkeeper Moyà. The fee has been agreed at €5 million. Apparently we've set a plan with them where we'd pay them the €5 million over the course of 3 years. Things are still at the negotiation state with the club so the details have not been discussed with the player. However, the deal is close to being finalized.

Another twist in the story...

David Villa is not for sale, Valencia declare in dramatic turnaround

VCF have signed French left back Jérémy Mathieu from Toulouse FC for the next 3 seasons.

Article here.

Also, six Valencia players are currently with the Spanish National Team in the Confederations Cup. On Sunday, Spain beat New Zealand 5-0. Villa, Albiol and Silva all played. Villa scored in the 48th minute. Silva came into the match in the 69th minute.

Match report here.

The next match is Wednesday, June 17th vs. Iraq.

Finally, naturally, there's tons of transfer rumors floating around. There are almost too many to report on, especially concerning David Villa. We will keep you updated with confirmed transfer news.

As you may know, PABLO HERNANDEZ has been called up in place of the injured Andres Iniesta. Congratulations Pablo! He joins fellow Valencia teammates Albiol, Marchena, Silva, Mata and Villa on the National Team.

Here's a short video from AS with Pablo, some of the other Spanish players and a bit of training (includes Silva, whose recuperation is going well :D)

Also, Vicente Soriano has stepped down as President of the club, which leaves us with more uncertainty and questions than hope and answers. As usual, they are mostly centered around the club's financial state and possible transfers of Villa, Silva, as well as others. We'll just have to wait until September 1st to see what happens. We also need people willing to solve our own economic crisis, instead of making it worse. One step at a time though...

Sorry about the lack of updates. It's exam time so that's been my life right now.

So the season's over and we ended up 6th and qualified for a Europa League (formerly UEFA Cup) spot for next season. We could have done better, but we'll have to settle for that. The end of the season also means infinite rumours about players leaving and players we're interested in. We'll just have to hold our breaths and hope we don't end up with the short end of the stick.

Some international competitions are scheduled to take place soon, so here are the Valencia players that have been called up.

Spain NT - for friendly vs. Azerbaijan (June 9) and Confederations Cup (June 14 - 28)
Raúl Albiol, Carlos Marchena, David Silva, Juan Mata and David Villa.

For the full squad click HERE

U20 Spain NT - for the Mediterranean Games/Cup (June 25 - July 5)
Manuel Castellano Castro “Lillo” (on loan to Real Murcia), Aarón Ñíguez (on loan to Glasgow Rangers) and Jordi Alba (on loan to Gimnastic Tarragona)

For the full squad click HERE

*Futbol Draft was on Monday (June 1), which was attended by Juan Mata, Jordi Alba and Aarón Ñíguez, so I'll post the photos for that a little later.

In the meantime, enjoy this photo of Carleto, Renan, Edu and Vicente (I think) Morientes (thanks [info]_unashamed!) at the 2nd to last training on Tuesday :)

IT'S OVER - THANK YOU VALENCIA!

Welcome!
This is my huge spam about season 08/09 with Valencia club de Fútbol, VCF, the Bats, Los Che or whatever you wanna call it!
This spam includes videos, a lot of pics, many hot jugadores, goal-celebrations, manpiles, music, quotes, nudity, porn... Everything you could ever ask from a football team (or a spam)!

But why am I making this under the title "It's over"? Well, I know one thing that is over for sure: this season. Next season we're not having the same players, the same kit, the same goals... Many things will change.
But I know another thing too, which is not over and will never be over:
my love for Valencia Club de Fútbol.

This has been a wonderful season. Not the best for the players and the old fans, but the best season for me, because this was my first year including football and fangirling.
We'll all have many memories from this season and the most important thing is, that we love Valencia!
Amunt!

DAY SIX: OF THE HANDSOMEST FOOTIE TEAM EVER.
A couple of weeks ago, there was an "Underarmour season seems to be at an end"-picspam-thread over at the [info]ontd_football community. I wasn’t the only one spamming with pics of the Valencia players, and it was pretty soon decided by several people that Valencia sure must be the team with the most handsome men. I was like “No really??!”. Because YES! We do indeed have the most handsome players. Don’t you agree? I mean, sometimes I wonder if they have to audition before they are signed.

( You don’t agree or you don’t know what I am talking about? Well, just look in here, and I’m pretty sure you’ll see my point…)

And finally, Valencia Week continues. Only 3 days left.

→ Ignore the date. ^^

DAY FIVE: OF LOVE, BARS, AND… LOVE BARS.

Okay, so parts 5-7 of Valencia Week will have to be postponed for a couple of days; there’s just too much stuff to do with the party coming up and visitors starting to arrive today. I’m all finished with part 7, but parts 5 and 6 need some working on, so expect them at the beginning of next week. Sorry. :(
Also: I just realized that I can’t watch the match against Real, because of my parts. EEK! Think people will mind if I turn on footie? >_<

And now on with the show.

DAY FOUR: OF MOVING IMAGES, ADORABLENESS AND SOME MAD SKILLZ.
So there’s tons more vids out there, and yes, there are other sources than YouTube. I stuck to YouTube, though, and I tried to find the good vids. I’m not a fan of vids that are made up strictly of pictures. And for some vids, the music choices are just plain horrible. You’ll still find some of these vids in here, but there’ll be a warning included. ^^ Enjoy!

(Attention: Video-heavy.)
