For thos eof you that didn;t read it, I was concerned because i had noticed that my insides had for the last couple of days begun to smell lik ethe smels when you get when you go to the dentist, or floss after a break..! Y'all came up with some great theories(blood, latex,bacteria) but it didn;t go away.

Anyway, I finally got to the gu clinic yesterday-

What we found out, after a great deal of prodding and speculum twiddling was that a fragment of tampon(from THREE weeks ago- grim!), had got caught in my coil strings, and had therefore got stuck up there.

this was super dangerous for two reasons- One that i could have actually pulled out my coil when i took the tampon out (eek!) and two, the bacterial build up was similar to what you get with toxic shock syndrome.

This mainly happened because my coil strings hadn;t been cut short enough, and eventually they had to cut the whole lot out. which was terrifying.
(scissors?! up THERE?)

ironically, i had been aware that the strings were probably too long, as had my boyfriend, who hadn;t said anything. the other thing is that i find my cervix swell and gets closer to the front of my vagina when I'm on.

What I;m trying to say here is- if you thing your strings might be too long, GET THEM CUT.
Belive me, you don;t want to do what i had to yesterday..:)

or wear a mooncup.
which i should have done anyway, but was too lazy.

just a little cautionary tale there.
