This first one began life as the start of something much longer that's been rotting on HD for some time now. I finally decided to cut it off and post it n its own. Something might come of it, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
( ”04.03” )
Finished off with an unrelated drabble which I wrote in about ten minutes this morning when I woke up stupidly early. It may or may not come some time after the above.
( ”drabble” )
As always, feedback is sort, loved and learnt from.

4:22 pm - A little fic-pimping

Ultraviolet Fic
Disclaimer: These characters are not mine, and I make no profit from writing them.
Summary: Talky talky talk. And some gallows humour.
Character(s)/Pairing(s): Mike Colefield, Vaughn, Kirsty and Frances Pembroke. A little Pemfield if you squint.
Author's Note(s): Written far from my UV DVDs and my memories of the show, so probable ooc-ness. Also, my Muses have been misbehaving, and this came out as more a writing exercise than a proper fic. It's only small, and I'm quite worried that quality control let it out too soon. Also: Feedback would definitely help me.
Rating/Warning(s): Gen fic.

7:19 pm - My first attempt at an "Ultraviolet" fic.

I really, really hope this doesn't come off as a cheese fest. The action-suspense part of the show isn't usually my ficcing cup of tea, and my only exposure to "Ultraviolet" is through YouTube, so I haven't really gotten to analyze it to death yet. (Thank you, thank you, thank you to the person who uploaded the series!)
Title: Graviora Manent, Part I Author: viva_la_liberte Rating: PG-13, for violence, blood, and whatnot Summary: Takes place a few weeks after the end of the show. To be honest, I haven't a clue where it's going to go. Disclaimer: Not even I could have created a show so brilliant! *deflates head*

Hi, I'm new here, and just finished my Ultraviolet DVD set.
My thoughts, entire series spoilers:
All in all, UV worth the money, want more of it...not sure if I could properly fic it soon though....

For those who encouraged me to write the sequel, this is all your fault.
Here's the link to Ab Origine, a sequel (or is prequel) to Lite Pendente. Basically another excuse for Pearse-angst. But for what it's worth, it's going to fix all those things I broke in Lite.

Criticism is welcomed.

Just a handful of the drabbles I wrote for Fanfic 100. Pearse Harman's prompt. They're all somewhat interrelated. With one the "Black" prompt AU. Tamara, Maggie, etc are characters from the backstory of Lite and any other chaptered UV story I may write. Enjoy. Feedback is welcomed and loved.

3:28 am - New chapter update
|

erised_wings
|
In both an attempt to pimp my story, and keep the community alive, a new chapter of my story "Lite Pendente" is posted.
http://www.fanfiction.net/s/2810135/6/
The summary:
Set a month or so after the miniseries, Pearse learns how to die, while the rest of the team struggle with the doubts and infighting left behind as they struggle to continue a war they no longer believe in.
And a teaser:
Vaughan shifted in his place. Without thinking, he pushed his coat back and readjusted his holster. It was a nervous habit he’d had since basic. When in doubt, check your ammo. Wordlessly, he pulled the gun and unfolded the mirror. He watched Michael in the mirror for a second and then lifted the gun slightly, catching Pearse in his sight.
The gun cocked.
And Pearse, looking up and staring up at the barrel, recoiled.

Title: Storytelling Author: DragonLady Summary: There are more mysteries than people in CIB. Disclaimer: Channel Four owns. Not me.
"Who's the Executioner?" Frances asked the question carefully. She did everything carefully. That's what made her valuable.
"The boogeyman for leeches," Vaughan snapped.
"I heard he was a rogue Code V," Mike offered, disinterested and fascinated.
They stared at Angie. She was silent.
"Well?" three voices, chorused and relentless.
"A tamed monster." Purring tones that would have been seductive were there any warmth to them. "Who killed a man named Pearse Harmon."
"Pearse isn't your real name?"
"Oh, I didn't say that, did I, Michael?" A savage, coy smile and the only thing left of Pearse was a lingering chill. ~*~

One of the friendly mods here wanting to inspire a litte more activity in the community--
The topic: Hurt/Comfort Guidelines: Can range from drabble to vignette to ficlet, but must be able to be read as if it is a one-shot (though, it may be part of a series). Can be any pair of characters in any given situation. Oh, and give it its own post.
( For me-- if anyone is game... )
So have at... And have fun...

So I'm confused about Frances--mainly, does she work for CIB, Special Branch, MI5 or CID? And tho Kirsty refers to her as Mike's ex, do we know anything about how long she and Mike have known one another, and were they actually together? Or did Kirsty just make assumptions?

Long ago and far away, before I tumbled head over heels into far too many fandoms to count, I fell hard for Ultraviolet, and finding no creative outlet on LJ for fans to gather and post their work, I created this community... and all of you wonderful fabulous people found it and joined in the fun.
I've gotten busier and busier over the years, and taken on a bunch of new online and offline responsibilities, and though I've often felt I've neglected this comm, it's kept on being a wonderful stressfree place for people to share their UV-related creations. Last year I even asked for volunteers to help moderate the community in case anything went wrong here while I was being less than attentive, but I kind of suck at delegating and I clung to the idea of being able to do all of the things I wanted to do all at once. Silly me!
I'm going to be completely offline for nearly all of the month of July, and that was the shove I needed to finally get back to those wonderful volunteers...
We now have three brand new co-moderators here at uvfics: alicambs, fluffyllama, and sampaguita_blue!
I'd like to take this time to thank them for helping keep this community ticking right along.
I'd also like to remind everyone to please read over the community rules, especially if you haven't ever read them, since that'll make everyone's stay here in uvfics more enjoyable.
If you're also willing to help out with community maintenance, please let them know... I have never tried to memory or tag the posts in this community, and going through all of the back-posts and keeping up with new ones... well, those would be nice projects if anyone might be willing to take them on.
And now I'm going to indulge in one last act as solo moderator... by asking you all the following: if you have any stories or manips or vids or artwork in progress, WiPs hiding on your hard drive, lonely and neglected... consider using this first month of our new moderatorship as an excellent excuse to finish those projects, find beta readers or put a final bit of editing polish on them, and post them here. A little joyful flurry of creativity would be a lovely start to the next stage of this community's existence. :-)
Thanks for being here, all of you. :-D

Sorry guys, one more for the Angst. And for whoever MIGHT be reading Lite, it's coming on...just slowly.
Title: The Wound-Dresser Author: Lady Erised Summary: [Ultraviolet] What Vaughan Rice does now is remembers. He remembered what it was like before the cancer, and before Pearse was in this small white gray room, but Jesus, somehow Vaughan can’t believe that it was ever real at all. How could it have been? Rating: M Genre: Angst/Drama Pairings: Platonic Vaughan/Pearse Disclaimer: “If we shadows have offended, think but this and all is mended, That you did but slumber’d here while these visions did appear. And this weak and idle theme is no more yielding then a dream.”
