I woke up early and had some coffee and went back, and then I was dreaming about school, in a portable I think. I had some good questions about the graph the teacher wanted to make, but I was afraid to speak up because I thought I might actually say the questions out loud in real life, because I knew I was dreaming. That's an odd kind of lucidity.

It was a lovely day for an 8 hour drive yesterday :)
Kilo isn't as big as we expected - apparently she'd been mostly fur which they'd cut severely due to the heavy mats in her coat - anyway, that explains why they thought she was a bit of english setter. Her paws are still big though - she has some growing still to do, she's only 16 months old - she won't get much taller, (about the size of a border collie or a smallish setter), but she will still put on some bulk.
She was very excitable on the leash when we picked her up, but was a dream in the back of Bertie on the way home - although she did get car sick. She doesn't chase the cats, she doesn't chase Pippin, the cats are freaked but all are good at staying away in safe places of their own, Pippin's snapped once or twice in warning, but generally doesn't mind her. All told it's been as very civil introduction as one could ask for.
She needs to learn a few more leash manners, and to figure out a bit more about what all that lovins' are about, she's been ill used and is a bit jumpy, but she will get over that here. And of course we'll have to do a bit of lifestyle rearrangement and adjustment ourselves - but we'll be OK
And she's

The shelter director who's been fostering Kilo while she's been in heat, just called... Kilo's ready to go to a good and loving home.
We're got a 4 hour drive out to Grand-Falls Windsor to pick her up Saturday morning, but Kilo is now ours! (aka MINE!)

Mr Pips seems to be settling in well - after a mere 24 hours
We still need to come to an agreement on where his place to eat bones is. But otherwise he's happy, content, and bonded well to
thefeychild and rarely leaves her side. He likes peoples.
He doesn't pester the cats
Surprisingly.... Zeus the old grump barely danes to notice him, Val barely tolerates him - but the kittens are FREAKED, especially the perennially brave Ariel. But lots of love from Daddy James, and lots of protection, and eventually she'll figure out the dog isn't interested in bothering her.

I only found out that this was going on from seeing some random Hollywood commentary on YouTube: ^^;;
Should the term 'midget' be banned from TV?

I just remembered some weird dream I had last night about losing a tooth and putting it on my dresser. Remembering it was really freaky. It's not one of those cases where you remember the dream because you woke up in the middle of it, but that it remains in somewhat recent memory if something triggers it. But the question is, what triggered it? A combination of looking at the dresser while having a drink and licking my molar?
Woot!

Heheh, I <3 ST. Particularly the Next Gen. Tho having seen the original SW trilogy on TV (Thanks to Spike network), it ain't bad. Didn't get into BSG or Stargate. I did watch Babylon-5, til I started missing too many eps, leading to massive holes in the story arcs that left me confuzzled. I also watched a bit of Earth: Final Conflict. 'twas interesting.
And now, got other stuff to do.

Something struck me as odd when I was having a coffee and picked up some high-glycemic carbohydrates. Jews are stereotyped as liking bagels. Police officers are stereotyped as liking donuts.
So how come it is that there often seem to be so many more anti-semites than anti-police? Aren't bagels a healthier choice than donuts? I mean, neither are particularly healthy, being sugary grains'n all, but donuts generally tend to be more sugary and frosted and all that sort of stuff.
I don't imagine people who manage shops really care if they sell bagels or donuts. Actually, bagels would probably be easier to prepare and handle than a donut since they are simpler and hardier (won't get crushed or smear, etc). People do put toppings on bagels, but they do that themself so it saves labour.
So the only people who really stand to benefit from the hatred of jews are the companies who sell the sprinkles and toppings and so forth to the coffee shops. Perhaps they are convinced that if the jews control the media that they shall make the police buy their bagels, at which point there would cease to be an economic demand for their sprinkles. Controlling the police is note just a source of income, but a method of controlling their other interests in confectionaries all over the world (cakes, etc.).
I have to admit, it must be difficult to be a supplier of icings. You don't just have to worry about bagels, but all sorts of healthier dietary alternatives. One thing that frightens me: what if instead of switching to bagels, if police switch to an even healthier alternative, such as apples, or perhaps celery? Would the enemies reunite under the threat of a greater enemy? Would the gardeners and orchard farmers of the world be able to survive under the onslaught of a united Bagel-Donut offensive?
Presumably since they like them (stereotypically) drawing upon this, Jews would have an economic interest in bagels. But what ethnic group, then, would be behind donuts? Reading about this now, I learn donuts are fried. I just don't picture them as being fried, that's usually something you picture happening to meat. It is very easy, even in spite of watching Cooking Master Boy (where many breads were fried) to forget that non-meats get fried too. I also learn of the controversial baked donut. Anyway, there's no clear origin for them... so I'll just say it's the Germans, because their 'Ballen' looks quite delicious.

hey guys,
so i know i said i'd post on here for stuff i found worthy of selling but truth is, after scouring old boxes of stuff i own i a) don't have anything i'm really willing to part with and b) what i do want to rid myself of isn't really worth anything or in really poor condition. so yarr.... that is why i didn't post/ i've been insanely busy between exams and pride.
onto the next thing: anyone up for chakra tuning through yoga practice?? it's happening friday night, 7:30-9:30 and is $40/two people (i.e. we each pay $20). which is about as much as it normally costs for yoga. more info here: http://www.jivamuktiyoga.ca/event-chakr a.html. the site gives you the details of this practice and what to expect. it looks super awesome and it'd be cool if i could go with a partner.
