AboutThe School of Cinema-Television at USC is the world's premier film school. Now in its 75th year, the School has produced many of today's industry leaders, including directors such as George Lucas, Robert Zemeckis, Bryan Singer, and Ron Howard. The School works closely with many studios and production companies, and also has extensive intern and mentoring programs. A large number of students have intern opportunities that allow them to meet prospective employers while working there. Also, there is an informal network of Cinema-Television alumni working in all areas of entertainment and academia that can be of great assistance to new graduates.
This is a community for prospectives, current students, alumni, and all others interested. It is an open forum for any kind of discussion, including admissions, classes, networking, projects, events, and so on. An extensive student-run website already exists at SCfilm.net, but since there seem to be so many of us on LiveJournal, this could be a supplementary appendage for all else.
