Greetings one and all, and welcome back for US Election 2008's coverage of the third and final Presidential debate of this election cycle, from the campus of Hofstra University in Long Island, NY. This week, a confident Barack Obama leads in the national polls, but John McCain reckons he's got them right where he wants them. Only the next 3 weeks will tell for sure, but in the mean time tonight's debate represents the only scheduled occasion the two candidates will have to confront one another directly before the election.
We'll be here to highlight key points and ask some questions, but as always this is all about you, so join the fray and tell us what you think. And stay tuned for the post-debate insta-poll... we'll be asking you to tell us who you think won, and why.

Moderator fun fact: Bob Schieffer has been chief of the CBS News Washington Bureau since 1982, and is one of a select few broadcast journalists to have covered the White House, Pentagon, Congress, and the State Department.
Now they are over, go mow the lawn, or try your luck with that pleasant divorcee who lives two streets down from you. You'd do yourself a favour if you marked a long-term enrty into a mulltiple-years' diary: No more courting brain rot watching candidates' debates for any kind of election.
Of course, we all wish the former First Lady a speedy recovery.
McCain: "Uh... no."
OMG ROTFL.
*Sigh*
And, he's SCARED@!!!
It's a first! Viva table!
except not. that's the base rate. but they keep getting specific cuts and protections and incentives and almost none pay that rate... except maybe the small businesses who can't afford a big, fancy accountant.
btw. there's more to choosing a location for your business than tax rates. even with our tax rate and our rising employment costs, companies have been moving jobs back to the states because their consumers are here and shipping is RIDONCULOUS. (yes. i did just use that word.)
also, mccain's not wearing a flag pin!!!!!!!!!
homg.
Obama seemed a bit more rattled initially, but now, it seems to be McCain
wait. did he really just suggest we raise home values?
is he seriously not smart enough to know we just got out of the biggest and most devastating housing bubble ever? does he not know how many people have been victimized by the unethical speculating in the housing market?
what a moron.
Sing my song! Thank you! Where did the surplus go? :)
I had plans for that surplus...

I think it was good for Obama to bring up the rally yells saying 'Kill him'... and wow. McCain - 'not happy' about versus - 'kill him'? hm. not quite equivalent to me... *shrug* I have a bias.
asshole.
Or did I mis-hear that?
also, how in the world is nuclear power going to reduce our dependence on oil of any kind? we don't put nuclear rods in our cars and planes and trucks and buses and so forth.
