Hello people!
Firstly, this comm is awesome! So glad to have found it!
Secondly, my family and I are moving to Glens Falls in mid-July. My mom is transferring with her company to their branch in New York, but my dad is still looking for a job.
Mini!resume: he worked as a DJ for a few years, owned his own mural/faux-finish business, and managed a couple restaurants, as well as working in various companies such as Alltel, Mass Mutual, etc. He's a very personable, funny and talented.
If any of you know of any job openings near or in Glens Falls, please let me know, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

| Upcoming Special Election |
[Mar. 10th, 2009|08:00 pm] |
This isn't to open a political discussion as much as it is to inform voters. I've been watching the commercials that both Scott Murphy and Jim Tedisco's campaigns have been showing and I was wondering how true their claims were.
So I checked the Annenberg Political Factcheck and they have just released an article about the campaign claims.
So here are some highlights and a link
So I hope that if you are eligible to vote that you find this useful.

| Snow Emergency Information? |
[Mar. 2nd, 2009|06:15 pm] |
Does anyone know where to look up snow emergency info for Albany county? I just googled it a few different ways and checked the City of Albany website and can't seem to find anyplace that actually lists info on a regular basis.
I'm just trying to make sure my car doesn't get towed tonight, and since there are no signs up around town, and I can't find anything online, I'm assuming there isn't one tonight. But I want to be sure! Anyone have any info? I know there isn't a lot of snow on the ground, but you know Albany and it's messed up idea of "emergency..." |

I just moved to Binghamton and need a new comic book store to give all my surplus money to. I'm looking for something with a decent collection, particularly with graphic novels and anthologies, and is overall a hospitable and welcoming place. |
