2:11 pm [greck]	desa is now blocking SMTP connections from 7,000+ /24s (that's over 1.75 million addresses, for the CIDR-challenged). the list gets rebuilt every 6 hours, and nasty ICMP messages get sent back to offenders. I'm filtering out known good ranges from the block list, so I'm not expecting any problems, but if you get people complaining about bounced mail, let me know. (2 Comments |Comment on this)

10:52 am [greck]	Digital Island Marina Del Ray (MDR) Data Center suffered a sustained network disruption which affected multiple Digital Island customers at the MDR facility. After extensive diagnosis and troubleshooting by Digital Island Network Engineering staff and third party vendors, the network disruption ceased at 10:45 GMT after a duration of 9 hours 9 minutes.
