Hope that you are well and everyone is enjoying either the cooler weather or the warm weather coming up.
Just thought that you'd like to share some great times that Karen and I are sharing together at her home in the US. Yes I have travelled from the great sothern land to the united states for my holiday and to meet my dear friend after all these years of sending IM and calling her on the phone at 2am my time.
We've been taking spuffy and about alot of things...
We've been shopping and looking around her beautiful state..I hope that she'll come visit my homeland one day. It makes me so happy that I've meet so many wounderful friends from spuffy land.

Description: This new community is intended as a resource for fan fic writers, betas and anyone else interested in improving their writing. I will try to post something every day similar to the "Daily Doozies" I've been putting up on my personal lj for the past month. OK, this community is set up for authors only... so this doesn't involve anyone else but authors.

What is going on in the Spuffy Community? Is this the end? Are we so far gone, our egos so large, that we have to personally attack each other? Draw the proverbial blood?

Are archives and the cost to archive just too much? Causing arguements on what is worthy to have server space?

ETA: I'd like to add that these questions may or may not represent my feelings on the subject. Those that converse with me on a regular basis will probably be able to predict my true feelings about. I wanted to post open ended quesitons that I have been seeing other's hit on. "The End' is in reference to another's journal wondering if the archives will fall away, authors becoming so disenchanted and abused that they stop publically posting and the fandom become smaller once again.

I know some of you feel that the fandom is losing good places to post spuffy fiction, and i think more ppl should post in this archive...it could be a good place for fiction if more ppl will give it a chance and some pimpage ;)

We have a simple goal: unite spuffy authors. You are not alone. We are here for you to help you, lift your spirits and to talk to.

This is the wrong audience to "pimp" your fics. Please keep topics relevant to writing. This includes various thing such as characterization, writer's block, beta/editors or what to do with flames.

If you would like a USA banner or USA icon, we have a few available and are willing to share, just contact me and I will get them to you.

Just a reminder to all members a poll is up here regarding a program some members suggested we start.

On another note, some authors have expressed an interest in a mentoring program. This is a wonderful opportunity for 'older' authors to help 'young' or new authors. Please take our short poll.

Hey all, it's been quite lately. I assume everyone is doing fine since their hasn't been a flurry of things on the list. Remember this is a place to ask for help. We all are authors and probably encounter the same problems you are dealing with.

Item 2: Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that the website is changing. I don't want to give too much information, but someone has offered to host us and we will be expanding the writer's tools soon. If you want to contribute with a writer's website or your own article about writing please let me know.

Item 3: That being said, I wanted to remind members that the Author and Site of the Month features are now disabled (or will be shortly). Unfortunately the participation was low compared the the amount of work I put into it.

As writers we all know what it's like to get a review. We love all of the reviews that we get. But we're not always completely sure about our writing and sometimes the reviews we get don't help us out that much. This new community is a place where you can post your fics and get complete honesty. People won't be nice about your fics just for the sake of it, but they also won't flame you. It is a community for complete honesty. Authors and readers alike will read your stories and tell you what they honestly think. Give you advice on where you're going wrong and how to make it write. Because as much as we love being told our fics are liked, sometimes to get better we need to be told what's wrong. It's the only way to get better. So, from one author to another, come on over and

ETA: Thank you guys for the support and yes it does suck, but I have decided that I will charge a 5 cent monthly charge to access the site. And let me say if anyone thinks this is just wrong, then you should post at B/S central and FF.net they are free site *but FF.net has major ad support as well* I hate to do this but it's the only way I can ensure that will be have the space to keep the site online indefinitely. I have put up the subscription button on the 'Register Page'. Once I recieve word thay someone has subscriibe I will validate that person to post and have full access to the site. I'm looking for spuffy writers or even just writers who would be interested in joining a community called spuffy_tennis. It is a community where a bunch of writers get together and write a fic together. Each author writes a chapter. There has already been one successful story written and now i am running a new one. If you're interested go to spuffy_tennis and check out the user info and if you wanna take part join up and reply to the newest post :)

It seems to be that no one is interested in the Site of the Month or Author of the Month features so we will be discontinuing the feature come June. Mercy and I will be working on other projects to get them up and working. If you have any suggetions to feature, please let me know. We would like to make this community a valuable resource for authors.
