From what I understand of Tibet's history, "freeing" it means allowing a small group of elitists to rule over the peasantry--and probably not gently.

From what I understand, this is not an ideal that UU espouses.

Being oppressed is self-determination? I always thought of it more as anti-self-determination...

I see your point though. I'm not trying to pick a fight (honest!), just learn something more.
