Damn it. This wasn't how things were supposed to go. Sure, the Chosen still had his life. The damage done wasn't too intense, either. At least, it was less than he was used to.
But now... The real problem. B-133 wasn't a safe location anymore. Where was?
Somehow, Zelos' first instinct had been D floor. Gojyo's room was up there, right? He'd be able to get in, and he was certain that Ed couldn't.
But, hadn't Gojyo told him he'd moved?
Oh well. The stairs were right there. Without putting any more thought into it, Zelos ran down. Less effort. He'd gain more speed, too.
And there was the A floor.
... Lloyd was down here, wasn't he!? Ah, but it wasn't like Zelos remembered his room number.
... Didn't... Gojyo move to this floor, too? Again! The number! Without that...

"Aaaagh!" Annoyance, more than fear, now. "This isn't fair!"
Was it really hopeless? Was there really no place he could take shelter?

Curious upon hearing a frustrated-sounding scream echo down the hallway, Hakkai poked his head out the door and looked out.

"Ah...Zelos, right?" He was fairly certain he'd spoken to the cheerful redhead over the computer network. "Is everything alright?"

"... No... I..." Zelos ran over to the man who'd called him.
A name... a name... Ah, fuck it. "You're Gojyo's friend, aren't you?"
Now this was just going to sound pathetic.
"I'm... Kind of not able to go back to my room for a while. Could I crash here? Or..."

Zelos entered the room, nodding in thanks to Hakkai.
"It's... A long story." No it wasn't. Just, telling it would probably have him left in the hallway. "But that one kid... Ed, I think it was? He's violent! I... Just needed to find some place to get away from him."

"Ah, well, that's something I can offer for a bit," Hakkai said easily, closing the door. "Have a seat." He gestured easily to the bed and the chair, both vacant. "I'm sorry I can't offer you anything to drink..."

"Oh! No, that's fine!" Why was this guy troubling himself for someone he didn't even know? ... No sense in complaining.
"I'm, just grateful to have a locked door. I don't expect anything else."
It took entirely too much effort to ignore whatever damage Ed had caused. ... Actually, Zelos had never even taken the time to find out just what was wrong.
Sitting on the floor, Zelos leaned against the wall and began to look himself over. Arms seemed fine. Chest seemed fine. ... Ah, his back was probably bruised.
A thought occured. "I can, understand those people taking away powers that can damage others..." He sighed. "But what's the point in having us lose healing arts?"

"Are you injured?" Hakkai asked, sitting down opposite Zelos on the bed. Not that he'd be able to offer much more than a cold compress and basic first aid if he were...He still wasn't used to being completely unable to touch his chi, even after living with the situation for...what, months now?

"Ah, well, if you say so," Hakkai said, letting the matter drop. The redhead was doing fairly well at pretending he wasn't in much pain, so he would probably be alright without assistance. He wondered if it would be politic to ask what Zelos had been doing that had caused him to be chased, but decided that even if the other man were inclined to answer truthfully, Hakkai might be happier not knowing.

That, of course, left him a bit drained for topics of conversation.

Did they need a topic? ... Maybe. Maybe not.
Perhaps just a random thought would work well enough.
"Hey. ... So is this the same room Gojyo ended up moving to?"
Sure, he didn't see the other redhead around, but did one's current location ever really mean anything?

After a satisfying, if not too horrible-tasting meal, Gojyo wandered back to the sanctuary of room A-122. Opening the door, he found not only his sexy roommate, but his fellow redhead-in-crime Zelos.

"Zelos! What're you doing here?" He flopped down on the bed next to Hakkai. "Everything okay with you?"

"Everything's cool with me!" Gojyo replied, grinning widely. Everything was cool with him, even despite the fact that the stupid little monkey was filling the place with annoying... Annoyingness.

"So, you two weren't talkin' about me while I was gone, were ya?" Not that he really cared... But he could sense that there had been a bit of awkward tension in the room. But that could also have just been his imagination. Either way, there was no reason they shouldn't be talking about him.
