This community was born out of this post over at super_kc's journal. The idea is that fanfiction which uses the words "I love you," as a climax, usually at the end of a one-shot PWP, come across as false, more often than not. Here's an excerpt:
"I simply find stories that end that way... boring and unrealistic. Stories never end that way. I mean, they just don't. I love you is not a climax. It's not. Usually if your characters are in love, we probably already know that. There's no real revelation in it, you see? It's just... stating the obvious."

And these are the ideas from which this community sprang. There are many other reasons for people to be together, or not to be together, many of which you'll find in the prompt box below. Some came from the afformentioned rant, and some came after. So check the claims list ( A-M or N-Z ), post the table at your journal, stake your CLAIM, and get writing!
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
- Is there a deadline?
There is no deadline. You may work at your own pace.
- May I have more than one claim at a time?
Yes, you may! You may have up to two claims at a time. (NEW! Sept. 29th, 2007)
Am I allowed to post a graphic with my fic?
Certainly! But try to keep it to 450px or less in width. Anything larger should go behind a cut.
Someone's got the claim I wanted! Can I still claim it?
Good news! You can! We allow up to 3 people to have the same claim at a time.
Does there have to be (whispers) sex?
Not unless you want there to be! How you interpret the prompts is entirely up to you!
Are crossovers allowed?
Yes they are. The only stipulation with this is (as with characters) if you claim, for instance, a LOST/SUPERNATURAL crossover, you must include both shows in each fic you write for each of the prompts, even in a very small way. (A shared setting, a mention, a brief encounter, etc.)
Do I have to use my assigned tags? Can I use a different tag?
Yes. You must use the tags which are assigned to you. The reason the tags are given is so that members and readers can sort by their desired show and/or pairing. You may not use any other tags. There is a standardized format and are only able to be added by moderators. If you happen to forget your tags, simply check the claims list, which is alphabetized by show, to retrieve them.
Is slash/incest/real person fic/etc. okay?
Anything and everything is welcome!
