umbertoeco LiveJournal community. If you have anything to say about Professor Eco, or any of his books, or just want to chat with fellow fans who will understand your ravings, you have come to the right place, my friend! Fanfiction and icons are also welcome (if you dare...).
For those unfortunates among you not already familiar with Professor Eco, he is best known as the author of such novels as The Name of the Rose and Foucault's Pendulum, which are two of my all-time favourite books. His main interest, however, is philosophy, and he is currently Professor of Semiotics (the philosophy of symbols) at the University of Bologna. Besides his novels, Eco has produced many philosophical books as wells as essays and even children's books (The Three Astronauts and The Bomb and the General).
Rules:
1) Be polite. We are all decent, civilised people here, so let's try and act like it.
2) Please try to stay on topic.
3) No quiz results. At all. This means you.
4) If you need to post a picture for any reason, please use an LJ cut.

- R: Lots of swearing, violence, and/or "onscreen" sex. Ages 17+.
- NC-17: Explicit sex and/or graphic violence. Adult audience only.

Other Characters: Anyone else who isn't paired.
