| FIND BERITH. TEDDY BEAR MISSING. PLEASE HELP. |
[04 Nov 2009|12:17pm] |
As some of you may know, Sunday after the 80'S night we went to the Resolution and werre having a great time until I realised Berith, one of our beloved little teddy beras had ben shamelessly stolen from us. He & Charlotte & Franky (new addition to the flock) had been partying and dancing on a wee table by the pool table and when we went to pick them up BERITH was gone. The staff says they saw the bears actually on the snooker table which means the 3 local men who were playing pool had moved them & put all but Berith back where they had been all night. ANDREU now remembers a GIRL WITH KNEE HIGH SOCKS & PINK BOOTS/SHOES WITH A TOO FULL WHITE BAG leving the scene. I trust you know how important the little ones are for us. Berith is very loved and has been with us in many adventures, has his own myspace page & sleeps with us all the time. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE If you see him or taht woman, let us know. We want to put a reward even. It is very important. I hope you all understand. This is not a joke. We miss him terribly. He adopted us on the 14th of February 2007, the day I got my UK residence & we all went to celebrate at Mestizo & then the Devonshire Arms in Camden. He has been everywhere with us as some of you may have noticed. I am not joking. We are devastated. Please help us find him:(

| Intro Quiz! |

Intro Quiz linkage
Right then. After a bank holiday sunday spent mending mater's shed and then being all headachey and going to sleep from about 8pm to 11pm, I am now awake. With no rainbowskye handy and no need to wake up for work tomorrow, I did an intro quiz!
It's different to previous. Rather than just the one intro, there are two, and often three per song. Hard, easy and "bloody hell, are you deaf"?
They should go "Hard", "Easy", "Obvious". It was hard to make some tracks "Obvious" without including a picture of the album and band.
Start with the one labelled "Hard". If you get both the band and song title, it's 6 points (3 per answer). "Easy" gets 4 points (two per answer". "Obvious" gets 2 points (one per answer).
This only works if you are honest with which ones you get! If you get it on hard, well done. Tell me in the comments what the band and song title is and that you got it on the hard intro. Likewise if you got it on the easy one.
Have fun. :-)

| Goth Club update |
[05 Jan 2009|10:00pm] |
Thanks for all the comments and info on some of the dates I was having problems checking out ...
One problem I seem to be getting is the Facebook issue which unlike LJ, Myspace, Website info you can't access if your not a Facebook member ... have had 2 or 3 now where that seems to be the only promotion people are doing ...
I have had confirmation of Slaughterhaus5 in London, Church Of Madness in Reading, The Asylum in Belfast, Absynth in Edinburgh tho that one has confused me a bit but have got a contact to chase up now! Salvation in Basingstoke, Transition in Brighton (another I was getting confused on!)
Also had some new dates and teasers from people so please keep in touch, promoters, dj's, etc please email info as you get details or see a club that the Goth community might enjoy.
Some clus, promoters, venues don't make it obvious whats going on sometimes but I'm getting there
Keep on letting me know!

| Goth Club updates |
[05 Jan 2009|06:08pm] |
A lot of work updating UK Goth List ha been going on over the past 6 weeks.
The whole of the club section has been redone to give more info and all entries have been double checked as far as possible. I do need to add 2009 dates to a load of them which were not available when I started updating at the end of November. There are now 84 club nights listed, possibly the most comprehensive and up to date on line in the UK with more nights to be added over the coming weeks.
Anyway over the past 12 months a lot has happened in the Goth/Alt club land with new nights appearing and old ones dieing out, the latest 2 to call it a night in December being Manchester's Sin City and Shadowplay in York.
Now to the point the following nights have defeated me in finding out any info from existing websites, myspaces, live journals, venue websites etc ...
So anyone know of any information on what the state of play on any of these nights existing in 2009 are?
Basingstoke - Salvation Belfast - The Asylum Brighton - Transisition Carlisle - Damnation Derby - Aeon Edinburgh - Club Absynth (I know the venue closed/reopened/new management but thats all) Liverpool - Midian London - Slaughthaus 5 London - 80's Night @ The Hobgoblin Northampton - Absolution Portsmouth - Evoke Reading - Church of Madness Reading - Nokturnal Stoke-on-Trent - Devils Toybox Birkenhead/Wirral - Prophecy York - Prophecy
Also if you go look at the club listing and you know of a night I have missed then email me at ukgothlist At googlemail DOT com
The UK Goth List aiming to provide you with info on Goth, Alternative, Burlesque, Fetish and some Punk & Rock events ....

| Gothparents (x-posted) |
[13 Sep 2008|05:38pm] |
Hello, I'm afraid I've not really posted here before. I was wondering if any other London-based goths have kids, and if there's a community for shared babysitting. When you have kids, it gets a lot harder to get out at weekends because childcare is very expensive. If anyone else is interested, I thought it might be a good idea to share childcare costs- or even have one parent look after a few kids and let the other parents get out for a night. It could also be good for kids- a good way for them to meet other kids with parents like theirs. If anyone's interested in setting up a community like goth_babysitting or something, please get in contact! Thanks very much! -K

| New Community: Goth City Maps |
[13 May 2008|03:41pm] |
Hey all, Just wanted to let you know about a new community gothcitymaps which aims to get people all over the world to create Google maps of their cities to serve as a valuable resource to any dark alternative types who visit those cities. Currently we're looking for as many submitters as we can get (obviously one for every city on Earth :P). We are also going to be hopefully needing community moderators (perhaps one for each contributing country?), first preference will be given to map contributers. Thanks and happy map building!
