Art Exhibit
Hey Everyone-

I don't know if you are familiar with postsecret.com or not but it's a great website, updated every Sunday, in which secrets are illustrated on postcards and anonymously submitted and posted.

This Spring, I am curating an exhibit called Secrets Reveled at Krannert Art Museum.
The exhibit will display U of I student/faculty/staff and C-U community member secrets.

I'm looking for YOU (and your friends and everyone you know) to submit secrets. Please limit your secret to one side of the postcard and mail them to:

Krannert Art Museum
Attn: Secrets
500 E. Peabody Dr.
Champaign, IL 61820

(Also, this is a completely student coordinated event and if you'd like to help, let me know...)

Thanks, the big thing I need right now is to spread the word. I had 1,000 postcards printed but I've distributed them all. So tell all your friends and let me know if you think of any other ways to spread the word.

If you are interested in helping out with the actual choosing of postcards/setting up the exhibit display, e-mail me at kitchka2@uiuc.edu.

The exhibit will open Jan. 25th.

spreading the word would be kind of cool if you took on a postcard approach to that, too. like, write something like "YOUR SECRET HERE" (or something more creative) on a postcard and paste them up everywhere (with info on the bottom or something)

i work at the krannert art museum in the cafe, its so cool seeing all the art there, especially in the lobby between the art building and the museum.

I've handed out over 900 blank postcards with instructions and the address. I think I will have more printed but I was wondering about other options. I haven't put any in KAM yet though....

This is an awesome idea!
I actually grabbed a few cards off a bus stop bench a few weeks ago, so I'm definitely getting involved. :)



PS. If you're looking for a good place to promote it, I'd suggest the first floor women's bathroom of the English building. Sounds weird, I know, the the stalls have some of the most compelling graffitti I've ever seen. Very much PostSecret material.
I'm willing to help out and spread the word. :)

One way you all can help out is to simply talk it up with your friends...

I also might send out an e-mail flyer with info, if you are interested in printing some off and posting them, let me know and I'll send it to you...
