Hi guys, first time poster here. I saw this on another comm, I thought I would share.
Yes, fake tears/sparkles? for your eyes. Attached to your contacts. What. Wouldn't those make blinking uncomfortable? Also, if something caught on those tears....D:
Contact lenses for astigmatism work by having little weights that turn the lenses so that they're always the right way up (basically the lenses slide around so that the weight is at the bottom). I can't help thinking these would end up doing the same thing, and the "tears" would be in the wrong place. In other words, it's going to end up making the wearer look "wrong" in a way that's going to be really hard to place.
My first reaction upon seeing them is that someone has made the eye goop you get in the corner of your eyes a fashion, which can now dangle stylishly from the center of your pupil apparently. Srsly, from a distance, that's what it'll look like.
That's exactly what I thought. It's not like "Oh, what beautiful tears", it like "Holy shit, did you just wake up from a 50-year-sleep? Wipe your goddamn eyes before something nests in them."
OMG...I cannot do contacts (the thought of putting something in my eye, even a lens, totally SQUICKS ME), and this is just...GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't have a problem with touching my eyes/other people touching their eyes, but those seem really ew. Wouldn't they fucking hurt? Particularly when you blink...
For a picture, fine, it looks enough like it's supposed to be tears, but WTF is that video?! How is that an ad for it?! It's friggin DANGLING the whole time. Last time I checked, my tears don't DANGLE.... o.O
Everything everyone else has said is true, but I have to add: In that video, I couldn't stop staring at the way though were swinging back and forth. I know people would do it in real life. They wouldn't listen to a thing you'd say, they'd just be staring at your stupid contacts.
Ohhh, god. I can't look at it. I have a good idea of what that would feel like and it FREAKS ME OUT. Like having a cat hair stuck to your lens... plus, it seems like you would be in danger of actually getting those grains in your eye.

Also, um, wouldn't the weight potentially pull it out of your eye? I know it couldn't weigh much, but still.

Can use them...
that really just looks like a huge eye booger :/
I was LOLing at how she had to blink super slowly hahahaa!
All around horrible idea.
Wearing my regular contact lenses is enough of a pain.
