Chipotle Yay!
Chipotle opened today and gave out free food, for those who didn't walk down or by Telegraph today. I'm filled with Chipotle goodness now (which I didn't have to pay for), and I probably won't eat for two days afters eating one of their ridiculously dense burritos, so I thought I'd share with everybody.

You might not care, but for those of you who aren't in the know, Chipotle is owned by McDonald's.

ok, so in an entry long, LONG ago... ok, not that long ago, sometime during the summer, someone posted an entry saying "hey, they're building a chipotle!"
then someone else mentioned "hey, they're owned by McDonald's"
then someone else mentioned "hey, Chipotle's trying to break away from McDonald's". he even gave me a link to the article... i don't know what the story is about that whole situation now tho.

man, and i was just about to post about Chipotle on the community =/
oh well, i just did on my own journal :D

plus, it's going to be annoying to have to deal with more idiot people loitering in front of another restaurant/place. as if walking down that section of telegraph wasn't ridiculous enough.

I will say that they are now the #1 reason I might walk on Telegraph Ave of my own, independent desire. They have tasty soft tacos.

i don't care who chipotle is owned by, i just know it is DISGUSTING. ugh, and all my friends are obssessed with it. it makes me ill, and my sister got horrible stomach issues every time she ate there. which was 3. 3 different restaurants as well. DISGUSTING! their RICE is HORRIBLE! blech. but whatever, you guys are entitled to be into it.

Actually, the rice is my favorite part. See, I'm from back east and I HATE tomato paste in my rice, I was so excited to find a place which actually put straight WHITE rice in their burrito. Its fantastic!

Well, the newspaper ad said until 7 pm 11/29, so get your free burrito now if you haven't already gotten one. I went around 2 and had to wait about a half hour, but it was really yummy and really filling ... granted I'd be broke and overweight if I ate there regularly, but I made an exception today since it was free. Normally though I never eat white rice or white flour foods, but one day won't kill me. happy burrito eating. :]
