U2 has touched my heart more than any other band, and has been a part of my life for 28 years.
I sit here listening to Achtung Baby in tears, because it is so beautiful and Bono is such an insightful poet, reminiscent of the Druid Bards who are his long past ancestors, and I wonder is some of that magic still living in his blood.
I know it is.
I am sad that as hard as I work, that I simply cannot afford to go.
To miss Bono, U2 my comfort in times most dire.
Sorry guys, this time the economy is too bad.

U2 are going to perform for the first time at Glastonbury festival! This is one of the of th most awesome things in the world. (: I wish I could go there but I've a feeling that wouldn't happen. For one, the festival is already sold out. (:

But if anyone is planning on going, have a great fun! Glastonbury is one of the best places in the world, and seeing U2 there will be legen-wait for it-dary. (:

I have added one new square to the u2 members montage - are there any further contributions, before I upload the latest version? A few people have expressed a desire to take part but still not submitted anything, so this is your reminder now the 2009 tour is over.

Rules:
~ You must be in the photograph (I have allowed a couple of cheats but not happy about this, it is missing the point of the project!)
~ The photograph must contain a U2-related item which best represents your fandom (e.g. your favourite album or T-shirt)

Got GA tickets this morning for Philadelphia (w00t!)

My wife and I were at the 2nd Philadelphia show during the Vertigo tour, and I'm not sure how different of an experience it is going to be this time. During Vertigo, the "bomb shelter" was on a lottery system, and we showed up 15 hours in advance to get in line. We were in the "non fan club" line, and were in the single digit range in line.

As far as I know, this tour has a first-come, first-served system for the inner circle. Is that correct? Up to this point, have there be two lines again (fan club and non fan club), or have they been doing one line? How far in advance would we need to get there if we wanted in the inner circle?

My Mum wants to see U2 next year, so I need to get her a seat. I've only done GA on this tour so I'm really not sure which seats offer the best view. If anyone here has seen the show from different angles and/or levels, could you give me the pros & cons of each, and maybe recommend a spot? Also, are there any seats where the Claw leg obscures your view of the stage, or is that unlikely to be a problem? Thanks for any input!

hi! so i was at the show on wednesday in vancouver. my boyfriend and i had ga tickets, and waited in line for 5 and a half hours. we were numbers 868 and 869, and were able to get into the inner pit. naturally, i took hundreds of pictures (up in the 500's). i just posted a bunch at my journal, if anyone's interested.
