AboutThe community is designed to augment, not replace, exisiting diabetes communities (
diabetes, insulin_whores, etc.). Please feel free to post about Type 1, gestational diabetes, insulin resistance, pre diabetes, Type 1.5, insulin, pumps etc.! The idea is to *focus* on Type 2 but not to exclude discussion of any one aspect of diabetes.
Many Type 2 diabetics post soon after being diagnosed so remember that this is often a time when people are inundated with new information and lifestyle suggestions. Some people here may have medical knowledge and many will not; we all have experiences of managing our own or someone else's diabetes.
