I'm looking for a post-Cyberwoman story I read a few months ago. It involves Jack being very impressed with just how dangerous Ianto is capable of being; he loves with total commitment, and was capable of getting Lisa out after Canary Wharf, getting her to Cardiff and into the Hub, keeping her alive, getting himself hired, etc. Ianto's combination of ruthlessness and supreme competence leads Jack to the realization that he must contain the threat, either by making Ianto love him, or by executing him. Ianto has to be Jack's, or he has to be dead, there's no other way for Torchwood to be safe. Thanks to anybody who can help me find it. |

That's a terrific series; thanks for pointing it out. I just found Torchwood this past summer, and there's a lot of excellent fic I haven't read yet. The tone of the first chapter is close to what I remember, but her Jack isn't quite as coldblooded in considering execution as a viable option. | |
