business card/playing card printer in Twin Cities? [27 Feb 2007|12:46pm]
Hi folks!

wondering if any of you can recommend a good business card printer in the twin cities? I have one online that I like, but I thought it might be nice to develop a relationship with a printer locally.

Also, does anyone know a place to get large playing cards printed? I have a friend who has designed her own tarot cards and wants to get them printed.

Apartments [27 Feb 2007|02:29pm]
I know this may sound like an odd request, but for anyone who lives in an apartment in the Twin Cities area, can you list all the bills (utilities, rent, other things) you pay for your apartment? Please also include what city you live in and what sort of apartment you live in (studio, 1br, etc.). Thank you!

Do you live to work -- or do you work to live? MPR's new show "In the Loop" wants to hear from you [27 Feb 2007|05:37pm]
MPR's "In the Loop" is seeking submissions about your relationship with work for an upcoming show.

We are looking for short (two minutes or less) poems, plays, essays, songs, sound collages -- anything that can be expressed on the radio -- about your relationship with work. Bonus points if you create your submission at work and can prove it to us (a photo, a signed note from your boss).

Maybe your job is a perfect fit.  Or perhaps you spend time at work searching job postings online.

It could be that your work simply pays the bills and it's what you do in your free time that matters.  Or maybe your job consumes your waking hours -- and even your dreams too.

No matter what your relationship with your job is like, we want to hear about it.

Please submit your work at www.mpr.org/loopwork.  If you have any questions, please contact Sanden Totten at stotten[at]mpr[dot]org -- if your work cannot be submitted online please send us an email and we'll work something out.  Thanks!

I'm going to be at the U on Thursday and I've spent very little time around there.

What do y'all recommend for a uniquely ethnic or interestingly exotic restaurant in the immediate vicinity??

My girlfriend and I are both pretty adventurous diners, I'm looking for something a bit out of the ordinary. I'm not terribly concerned about the cost.

Thanks!!
