swimming
so ya, it's going to be hot this weekend; would like to go swimming, but not really up for any of our twin cities lakes.

so my question is, does anyone know of any CLEAN lakes that are no more than an hour away?

Square lake in....Stillwater I think is supposed to be one of the cleanest/clearest lakes in the metro area.

What about a city pool? Or one of the city waterparks?

I've been swimming in Turtle Lake practically every night the past month. Course I take a kayak or boat out to the middle. In fact, I just got back a bit ago!

i second square lake. it is spring fed. they make you get out of the water for 10 minutes every hour...kind of weird, but its the best lake i know of in easy distance.

Sweeney Lake on the border of Golden Valley and Minneapolis is spring fed and very very clean.

ok, so i got sweeny lake, square lake and turtle lake- now i need some directions!

i already tried to look up the lakes on mapquest, but no luck. all i really need is some major rodes that i should head out on. i'm comeing from dwntwn mpls.

I'm not sure how to describe how to get to Sweeney. It's off of hwy 55 before you get to Theodore Wirth.

Use google maps in hybrid mode.
