There have been a TON of Twilight conventions springing up all over the United States this year. One such con has really irked attendees, and it hasn't even happened yet: TwiCon Attendees Furious Over Prices / Autograph Policy Announcement. Let this be a warning - don't buy a membership to a convention unless they post all policies UPFRONT.

Summit has updated the official Twilight Saga Website to reflect New Moon. The site is pretty sparse right now, but you can now download wallpapers, send e-cards or grab the official New Moon widget.

In case you haven’t heard, the powers that be blessed us with Robert Pattinson twenty-three years ago today. In other words, “Happy 23rd Birthday RPattz!”

I can’t physically give Robert a present, because a) I don’t know him and b) sending him a cupcake with a special message would seem really creepy. Instead, I’ve decided to create a list in his honor. What is this great list you may ask? Well, I’m going to write up 23 reasons why I’m thankful for RPattz.

As you can imagine, thinking up 23 reasons why you’re thankful for someone can be quite difficult, especially when you’ve never met the person, but I found it pretty easy to dream up reasons why my pop cultured/boy-crazy life - not to mention my bulletin board and my desktop - would be super boring if Robert wasn’t born in grand old England all those years ago. Nowadays, RPattz has become the hottest young star in Hollywood, and Cavill is instead starring in the Woody Allen comedy "Whatever Works," opening July 1. And when we caught up with him recently, the actor revealed that his star-making "casting" never made it far beyond Meyer's lips.

DAVID SLADE TO DIRECT SUMMIT ENTERTAINMENT’S

THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE

Los Angeles, CA April 22, 2009 – Summit Entertainment announced today that David Slade has been hired to direct THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE from a screenplay written by Melissa Rosenberg. THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE, the third film in the studio’s TWILIGHT film franchise based on the Stephenie Meyer’s blockbuster book series, will be released theatrically in North America on Wednesday, June 30, 2010. The announcement was made by Erik Feig, Summit’s President of Production.

The Twilight actor plays a song for us on piano. We like him.

The adage that you can tell a lot about someone by their shoes seems true of Jackson Rathbone, who is wearing brown leather cowboy boots flecked with yellow paint. He spent many of his formative years in Texas, and talking to him, it becomes clear that he would describe himself as an artist before he would just call himself an actor.

Rathbone started acting in high school when he attended Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan, and moved from set and lighting design to a spot in front of the curtain. "When I started being onstage, I fell in love with it," he says. Although he is now best known as Jasper Hale in Twilight, and is currently filming M. Night Shyamalan's The Last Airbender, what Rathbone seems most excited to talk about right now is his band, 100 Monkeys.

His bandmates are old friends and actors as well, and he shares a house in Hollywood with two of them. "We call it the Monkey House," he jokes. "We all play all the instruments," he adds. "We call it the Monkey Switcharoo."

When asked about working with his Twilight castmates, he praises their talent, then adds, "Kristen and Rob are both very musically inclined, so we would have jam sessions. It was like the Cullen Family Band."

Strangely enough, the hotel room where we're speaking is equipped with a grand piano. Nearly everyone who's passed it has hammered out a botched chopsticks, and Rathbone, whose car is waiting outside, can't resist the pull either. He sits down, and to much applause, plays an actual song.

Unlike cold-blooded neck biters, these poster guys for animal magnetism are hot. So hot that their temperature runs a steady 108 degrees, as anyone who has read Stephenie Meyer's series of gothic romances knows.

That gives them a great excuse to doff their shirts on-screen and expose the physiques they've been pumping up for playing werewolves in The Twilight Saga:New Moon, the sequel to last year's supernatural sensation, due Nov. 20.

Four actors — Chaske Spencer, Alex Meraz, Kiowa Gordon and Bronson Pelletier, all with Native American heritage — join Taylor Lautner, 17, who returns as a hairier, scarier Jacob Black. The plotline finds Jacob growing closer to a distraught Bella (Kristen Stewart) after her vampire beau, Edward, runs off.

Among wolf pack job requirements: the ability to work half-naked no matter what the weather in the Vancouver, B.C., area, where the film has been shooting for several weeks.

"It's not pleasant for the actors," says director Chris Weitz. "But they have all been good-natured. They show up on location in drenching, cold rain, and I say, 'OK, off with the robes.' "

They haven't even released a second movie yet, but already there's talk of a fourth. TheWrap.com reported earlier today that Summit Entertainment was deep in the planning stages for Breaking Dawn, the fourth book in Stephenie Meyer's hugely successful Twilight series. But not so fast, says Twilight screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg, who is still working on her script for Eclipse, the third in the teen vamp franchise (the second, New Moon, is currently shooting in Vancouver). "The most I've heard from Summit is 're-read it and start thinking about it,'" says Rosenberg, who is completing her show-running duties on the fourth season of the Showtime series Dexter. More telling, she hasn't yet received one of the manifestos Meyer famously puts together before Rosenberg begins turning one of her books into a movie. Another source is also skeptical that Summit is far along in developing a fourth film. "As far as I know, Stephenie was still having meetings asking, 'Can we really make this into a movie?'" The fourth book's racy sex and explicit birth scenes make it less pre-teen friendly then the three earlier, more chaste romance novels. Summit, for its part, has no comment on the current status of Breaking Dawn.

I've just found this site and the more Twilight sites I can visit, the better my day is! I'm still dancing for joy about the joy of 'Breaking Dawn' being greenlit, and I have a huge girlcrush on Lainey for all the picture posts of the cast filming 'New Moon'.

I am obsessed with Edward and Bella (specifically Rob Pattinson and even own 'The Bad Mother's Handbook in which he pops up every now and then. My love is strong.) and I paint a lot so with that, I thought I'd introduce myself with one of my canvases, mods, I hope this is all right!




I loved the promotional photosets for Twilight so much I pretty much painted them all. Not that I'm obsessed or anything! I'm selling the one shown cause of lack of wallspace if anyone is interested but even not, please feel free to tell me that I am not alone in my obsession! :)
