People in Michigan/Canada who listen to 89x on the radio...

Every night at 7pm the radio dj plays two songs that are not out on the radio and people vote on which song they like the best. The winner of the two gets to come back the next day and compete again. Last night Panic! at the disco was the returning champ and of course lost to "staight to video" By MSI I was shocked to hear that they were playing it on the radio, so of course I called in to vote for them as well. Well they are back tonight and I'm sure they will put it again some lame ass song, so if you get 89x listen at 7 and call in to vote for MSI the numbers are Michigan- 313-298-7999 or Canada- 519-292-5000. Thats all. Xposted

Hello everyone I just joined the community. I've been in love with Tub Ring ever since I saw them live a couple years back with MSI. Lately I've been looking to get their cds "...And The Mashed Potato Mountain Etiquette" and "Super Sci-Fi Samurai Rockstar Ultra Turbo II (ver3.6)" be they in mp3 form or cd(though I'd really like cd) and I was wondering if anyone here could help. I looked on www.eBay.com and www.gemm.com with no luck. Thanks to anyone who does help.

I just thought I'd post this to the Tub Ring community considering Kevin and Rob's newest project 3-2-1 Activate! might interest some of you.

Head over to: http://www.myspace.com/321activate and listen to the first/only song the band has released so far.

While you're there, add them to your friends list, and you'll be kept up to date with itenerary for the upcoming October/November 3-2-1 Activate! tour, and have a chance to listen to new songs as they are released. Rumor has it if enough people comment regarding their like/love/affection for "Eraser" the band will put up another song.

Later

(3-2-1) Activate! Looking for their 2nd Guitarist! Could it be You?!

That's right, (3-2-1) Activate! (Tub Ring/Corpslight) is looking for someone between the age of 20-30 to be our 2nd guitarist. Hell, even if you're 18 we'll take you, so long as you're ready to make this your "end-all-be-all".

We're getting down to crunch time again, and it's been placed on my shoulders to find this new guitarist.

Obviously, or not so obviously, we live in the Chicagoland area (Northwest Suburbs to be exact), so living in that area would be a plus, but if you can fit the bill and make it to rehearsals, etc, then location isn't a problem.

Yes, there are plans to tour.
Yes, there's an album being recorded.
Yes, there are...other things.

So, can you learn some songs?
Can you write songs?

Send me an e-mail: bassist4cl@hotmail.com, and give me your vitals (how long you've played, what sort of equipment, your sign, etc...) You can also hit me up via AIM: deliriumpractice

Thanks,
Trevor

New here....Peelander-Z anyone?

I noticed this community likes peelander-z. I went to a show of theirs last night, and had the time of my life, so im tentatively posting about it, in hopes ill be accepted, and people will enjoy the pictures of the Peelanders.

I am now a devoted fan of Peelander-Z.

Yes, I did go to the show last night,

Not only was I blown away, but I got to play the drums for them, and Peelander Yellow took a liking to me. I also ended up with an autographed bag, free stickers, and lots of pictures with relativly cute Japanese punk stars! Eeeeeeeeeee.....

I WILL EXPLAIN AS THE PHOTOS PROGRESS.

TAKE A LOOK...

I have never experienced anything quite like this.

ALLLLRIGHT. A SHITLOAD of pictures coming up. How to explain. Well. Here is a picture I snuck of Peelander Yellow, looking perfectly normal and Japanese, sleeping during the opening band, " Daikaiju". All the members of Peelander-Z were asleep. Touring is exhausting, apparently. ^_^

Alright. First band ended, and they all woke up and started setting up to play. This is shot of Peelander Yellow setting up his toys on his amp.

NOW it gets a bit complicated. All three of them hid backstage, and " The Announcer" came out to Announce each Peelander member as they came out on stage.

" RADIES AND GENTERMAN! IT IS TIME FO PEERANDER- ZEEEEEE!!!"

He held up signs that read " Peelander Red, Peelander Blue, Peelander Yellow" I didn't get a shot of the red sign, but I DID get a shot of Peelander Red coming out on stage.

PEEEELAANNDDERR REDD!!!!

And there he was, The Champ.

AND

PEELANDER YELLOW! ( in a banana suit.)

TAKEU A PICTURE!!!

And now, some pictures from when they were playing. not much to explain here.
During the show they also brought random people from the audience up on stage to DANCE!. They were big on audience interaction, it was awesome.

OKAY.

At this point they were a good way through the show, and it was time for their " Human Bowling" act. SO. They held up signs saying, " GUITARIST WANTED" " BASSIST WANTED" and "DRUMMER WANTED".

I was standing up front, and I've been playing the drums for 8 years now, so I HAD TO BE PICKED. HAD TO. And I was.
Here is the magnificent champion Peelander Blue, giving up his drum throne to me, and patting me on the head with a " thumbs up". I played for about 20 minutes while they used each other as bowling balls. Peelander Red kept giving me thumbs up. ^_^

playing drums and wearing a skirt is very hard.
( correction:playing the drums and wearing those SHOES is...stupid.)

After they let the people play their instruments, I got a pat on the head from Peelander Blue, a " Goodu Jobu!" from Peelander Red, and a "WWAAAAOOOOOO!" from Peelander Yellow.
Later on, Peelander Blue BROKE OUT HIS BIG STICKS AND PLAYED A BIG CYMBAL!

YAY PEELANDER BLUE!

Then, they did a little dance.

AND THEN.

After they were finished playing.
Peelander Yellow came and found me and I spoke to him in Japanese and he got all excited and wanted me to talk alot in Japanese, but I dont know too much, so instead we decided to take pictures together. These are certainly some pictures.

Here is Peelander Yellow, ( he seemd to take a liking to me.) And Amanda and I .

And here is some guy with Peelander Yellow drawn on his leg.
Peelander Yellow is saying, " DATSA MEEE!!!"
And I am looking...surprized. I kind of look that way in every photo.

AND NOW!

Its me! With Peelander Blue!( looking cool and japanese) The Drummer boy! And he has the Lollipop I gave him!

( I gave them all lollipops.)

AND

I also got my bag autographed, and a pin, and two of their cds, and a free sticker.

( if you cant read japanese, the japanese part is my name, with a heart by it.)

And my PIN!!

It reads,
"KING OF MAD TIGERS.
