Tube Walk REMINDER

Hello all! Just a quick reminder we'll be meeting today, Sunday, at 2pm (for a 2:30pm start) for the Tube Walk at the Bakerloo Line station entrance for Edgware Road. I note that it's next door to a pub called the Green Man, if I judge correctly from Flickr photos.

(Also don't forget that there's dim sum beforehand, if you're so inclined, at Pearl Liang, from 12:30pm ish. Do please try and come! I don't want to be the only person there. It's sort of round the back of Paddington station (off Bishops Bridge Road, which is near the Hammersmith & City line platforms, I believe), so do check the map, it might be a bit confusing. I'll just wait outside for the crowds of Tube Walkers...)

Tube Walks 65 & 66

So here's the official advert as it were. We'll be knocking off the next two Tube Walks together, as they both start at different Edgware Road stations. That's Edgware Road in central London, to the north-west of Marylebone, near Little Venice, a nice area -- so no bothering with the outer reaches of the back of beyond.

Because there are two Edgware Road stations, do please note we'll be meeting outside the Bakerloo Line station entrance.

On the Road again

So it's on Sunday 28 June, and the 2pm listed start time as usual means 2:30pm kick-off. Because of its general proximity to nice things, we'll actually be having a dim sum lunch beforehand at Pearl Liang, a restaurant just behind Paddington station, from around 12:30pm. It's a good value place and generally commended as one of the best in London, so you're welcome to join us (just comment here if we should expect you for that).

Hello! We have a date for the next Tube Walk and it is Sunday 28th June. In fact, there will be two Tube Walks from the two different Edgware Road stations. I can't remember where we're walking to though, so I'll leave that for [info]hoshuteki to put in his official announcement!

May 27th, 2009

Hello all. Since I posted this late at night at the weekend, here's another reminder of the next Tube Walk, number 64 of the ongoing series. It is from Edgware to Burnt Oak.

Mind the train sets

So yes, it will be taking place this Saturday 30 May at the usual 2pm (for 2:30pm) start from Edgware. Hopefully the weather will keep up, though I daresay there will be other attractions to the area. Do come along if you're not busy, though no doubt there are many other exciting things happening. (I noticed there was a good all-dayer at the Windmill, for example. I suppose there's probably also sport. Family visits. That kind of thing.)

We've also had a request to perhaps think about setting the dates a bit earlier, so hopefully future Tube Walks will be given more advance warning...
