Summary: Ginny catches Luna daydreaming about something that's impossible... Maybe. Complete drabble.

Ginny dropped her borrowed books off at the desk in the Library, idylly glancing around. In a far corner, witch's hat adorned with a tiny frog charm at the point, Luna Lovegood was scribbling away furiously on a piece of scrap parchment. Curious, Ginny wandered over, ignoring the sharp looks from Madam Pince as she carefully inspected her charges for damage.

"Hey Luna." She peered over the blonde girl's shoulder, slightly surprised when she threw herself on the paper like it was going to explode. She didn't have much time to see, but it looked like names, two specific names, written in a myriad of styles. "Um? What's... that?"

"Nothing!" Luna smiled widely, still spread out on the desk.

"Nothing?" The youngest Weasley couldn't fight off the teasing grin. "It looked like love notes to me."

Bright red stained Luna's cheeks. "It's not! It's--"

"Harry I can understand," Ginny continued musing aloud, right over her friend's objections. "But... Malfoy?"

Luna's degree of redness increased tenfold. "But they'd be so cute together! It almost has to be sexual tension!"

For the first time in her young life, Ginny felt a hair go gray. "Wait-- you weren't practicing 'Luna Potter' or 'Luna Malfoy'?"

As though revealing a great secret, Luna removed the paper from beneath herself and handed it to Ginny. However, she didn't remove herself from the table.

Shoving a lock of red hair out of her eyes, Ginny thought she felt another hair turn. All over the parchment, mixed in with hearts, stars and the occasional mythical beast, were variations on "Harry + Draco" and "Harry Potter-Malfoy". A twitch started in her eye.

"Luna... You know they're both straight right?" A mental image of Malfoy, immaculately turned out in the latest fashion, gesturing elaborately as he spoke, appeared in her head. "Well, Harry is at least."

"He is?" The Ravenclaw's eyes were wide and innocent. "Poor Harry. Being straight and liking a boy. That must be so hard!"

For several seconds, Ginny kept her silence, but before long a laugh burbled out of her. Luna brightened, as though Ginny had complimented her. "Yeah, Luna. Must be hard."
