| About: | Welcome to the Sentinel Secret Santa Fic Exchange & Celebration for 2008! The goal of the Secret Santa Fic Exchange is to share our love of The Sentinel with one another at the Christmas/Hanukkah/Solstice/Winter/Choose Your Holiday season. From December 1st - 24th, a "present" will be posted for a participant, interwoven with "Drabble Days" and culminating in a seasonal free-for-all on Christmas Day. Exchange participants are anyone who 1) would like to receive a present of a TS story, 2) is willing to write a present-fic in exchange, and 3) has an LJ. The way it works is that each writer specifies what sort of story they'd like to receive, and what sort of story they can write, then I match up the requests & offers as best I can to make everybody happy come December. :-) Once I've done the matching, I'll send each participant the story request that they are to write -- anonymously. NOTE! Sign-ups are only running until Monday, 22nd September! Please sign up soon! :-) The stories will be due near the end of November, and each day up until Christmas one will be posted as a present to the requester -- with the author a secret until Christmas Day. (That's the theory, at any rate -- the specifics will depend on how many sign up. :-) ) As in the past 2 years, not only will we have this traditional sort of fic exchange, but for some added holiday cheer we will also have "Drabble Days," where people can write ficlets to a specific seasonal prompt (prompts to come in October or November). Santa seems like a bifictional sort of fellow, so we're including both gen & slash fic in the exchange. :-) For all the details & rules & such, check out the first post of Sept 2008 in the comm, which will be saved in the Memories as well.
