FICTION: Cruel Fate
FICTION: Cruel Fate. By David C. Set in a bar below hills scarred by forest fire, this darkly haunting tale describes an unlikely encounter between a top and a sneaker-shod young man who just won't let him alone.

"I'm flagging black left. You know what that means?" He shrugged. "It means," I said, turning my attention back to the game, "that I'm out of your league."

Very well written, nice imagery with the smoldering fires in the hills and in their souls.

Very cool story. I particularly liked that by the end the top had learned something too. Great work.

Thank you so much. I was completely mesmerized and couldn't stop reading. It was interesting to read about a young man trying to figure out his own sexuality and his own desires. I wish we could all figure them out and be able to enjoy them.

I was also mesmerized by this story; wondering what the outcome would be.

This young man was lucky in that he had that first experience which, though it was rejected at first, would reform him into someone he really wanted to be.

Have we all had that kind of experience? I wonder...

Very well-written, which is depressingly unusual for gay erotica in general, and gay kink erotica in particular.

wandered through via a link from a fanfiction site and felt compelled to comment.

Very well written original characters; without even knowing their names, they both come across as individuals, not archetypes. The imagery of the fire is very vivid as well.

Thanks for a great read.

Wow! Really like the simple describtions of the scenery, it's rough around the edges, not smoothed out for the reader, I like that. And of course I love the endm akways good to see people learn something about themselves and others. :)

Ooh, last review was over a year ago, lol.
