Overheard - Eric and Bill
There are sites on the web with little drabbles of conversation overheard in different parts of the country, and some of them are ridiculous, some prophetic. I though it might be fun to start everyone writing little overheard parts of conversations between characters from True Blood. Please join in.
Here's one between Eric and Bill for starters - from the past.
Eric had once caught Bill in one of is favorite spots in the overstuffed chair at the end of the porch reading Milton’s Paradise Lost.
“Your copy is well-worn,” Eric said. “Do you hope to find an explanation for our immortality in Satan’s delusional mind, or do you delude yourself in hoping God’s Son will save you, as well as mortals?”
“You like to goad me.” Bill could say that, after so much time together. “Perhaps I prefer to remind myself not of his delusion of death, but of his narcissism and pride.” He even dared to pointedly grin up at Eric.
“You’d do better reading Machiavelli. I find him much more useful.”
