The revived National Party in South Africa will allow gay and lesbian members to serve, but says that the government will help to "rehabilitate" them. They are also strongly against the constitution allowing same-sex marriages. It is a shame that the NP is thinking of itself above science which shows that homosexuality is natural and cannot be altered, attempts to "rehabilitate gays" fail.
Here's a vid I made for this movie to the song Rehab by Amy Winehouse. This was made months ago but I never posted here. Hope you all enjoy! Please comment if you watch it :)
hi everybody, ive just joinded lj and this is my first community too! love love love the film (andthe beautiful clea of course) does any one want to have a natter?
New pictures of Natasha!!!!! She doesn't look TOO sick anymore. She looks pregnant though... Crazy pregnant. But I think it's just a "symptom" of... finally eating again. Good for her :) :) :)
Ok a bit about me, my names Lea, im 23 and bisexual, I live in Leeds UK, came out to my close friends when I was 13, came out to family when I was 19, got told by my dad 'your the first Jewish bisexual I have met' to which I promtly laughed and said clearly he hasn't spent much time talking to his secretary! I am currently in a fantastic relationship with a wonderfull lady called Tracey who is 34 who is still technically married (she walked out on him in January this year!)
I used to attend LIBBY, Out225 and BLAGY, youth groups within Leeds and Bradford UK for LGBTQ youth, I am still a part of Speak Out which is a group of LGBTQ young people from Leeds and Bradford who have done a range of things including delivering Homophobia n Hetrosexism training to Connexions, had consultation on the UK green paper Every Child Matters, worked with a group of BME (black minority ethnic) young people and put together a Diversity Toolkit, and plenty of other things!
I first saw the film But Im A Cheerleader quite sometime ago and fell in love instantly with it, as found so much of it amuzing as well as true to reality and easy to relate to.
If you want to know anything else about me please feel free to ask!
hello! my name is sarah, i'm 24, and i live in columbus, ohio. so let me get right to it.
i saw "but i'm a cheerleader" when it first came out (heh) in theaters, and then i saw it again, and since then i've seen it about 9324872573534 times. my friend and i used to make everyone we know watch it. that same friend is a VERY big fan of miss clea duvall. i like her, too, i always have. long story short, i met clea on saturday night. i wrote about it in my journal but it's friends only and it's kind of a rambling mess all about that and other things, so if anyone is interested in the story, i'll edit that entry (omitting/cutting down the unrelated stuff) and post it in here. just for the record, she was very, very nice, and very hot. way more so in person. but that is not the reason for my post.
i came home after that night and searched high and low for my copy of cheerleader, and i could not find it. i racked my brain and eventually came to the conclusion that i do not own this movie. i have a lot of dvds so sometimes i do get confused about what i actually do and don't own, but i could not BELIEVE i didn't own it! how have i seen it so many times??? i must have spent like a million dollars renting it. so anyway i just really need to see it, like, now. so i'm looking on ebay and amazon and all that but money is CRAZY tight for me at the moment, so i'm here wondering if any of you happen to have an extra copy of it on dvd that you're willing to part with for extremely cheap. i'm even willing to maybe make a trade or something if you want, haha. i don't know how we'd go about that, but if there's anything you've been looking for, who knows, maybe i can help you? i have an extra copy of "trains, planes, and automobiles" if anybody's interested in that, haha. or like, if you're even willing to make me a copy of it, that would be amazing. i know this sounds silly and desperate but that is exactly what i am right now.
anyway, any help at all is much appreciated, and if any of that is not allowed here, i'm very sorry. i am a very big fan of this movie, though, and i've honestly seen it about 50 times, so i look forward to being a part of this community. it seems like a good one.
I'm Erin, I'm 17 *takes deep breath* And I'm a "But I'm a Cheerleader" Fan.
I first heard about this movie when i was 12 and i was obsessed with the movie Detroit Rock City (for some crazy reason) and i heard Natasha and Meliney talk about it in the comintary. So since i was so in love with DRC i saw it.
Male bisexuality doesn’t exist. Or it’s very, very rare. Or it’s really just gay men in denial. Yeah, it’s official: bi guys are freaks and liars as well as non-existent.
Female bisexuality, on the other hand, is almost universal. It’s as natural and as true as it is wonderful and real and… hot!
Or so you would be forgiven for thinking if you had read the effusive reports in the papers about California State University’s recently published sex-research which claims that women are 27 times more likely to become attracted to their own sex than men. ... It’s unquestionable that female bisexuality is today much more socially acceptable than male bisexuality, and in fact frequently positively encouraged, both by many voyeuristic men and an equally voyeuristic pop culture and also, perhaps slightly paradoxically, women’s new-found desire to assert themselves sexually.
My name is Melissa, I am from Akron, Ohio, 24 years old, and Bisexual...
I have loved Clea Duvall since 1998 when I saw her in "The Faculty" as Stokely...until I married my husband, I always said I would go completely lesbian if I could have her...I'd still love to meet her...
I can't remember when I first saw "But, I'm a Cheerleader" but I remember I was staying with my grandma, and was flipping through the channels looking for something to watch and fall asleep to and saw it was coming on and I had never seen it, but she was in it, so I watched and absolutely LOVED the entire movie...and without giving TMI unless anyone requests me to elaborate, I had quite the personal moment while Graham and Megan had their love scene
recently when Clea was on CSI it was quite the nice surprise cause I had NO clue she would be on the show
so, anything anyone wants to know, feel free to ask...and anyone in Ohio?
Heyy everyone. I'm new here. My name's Naomi. Not too sure what I am exactly. So I guess I'll have to work on step 1. But I thought some of you that watch the movie on HBO would be interested in it's schedule so here's a link:
