Wanted: One Girl Gang
Do you like to double dutch and drink tall 40's outside instead of going in to the office?  Do you long for a crazy gang name and a bunch of chicks who've got  your back in case of a rumble?

Well, I don't know how to double dutch, but I'd love to learn.  I'll drink boones farm and I'm good at thinking up ridiculous schemes to get you out of work.

In any case, if you've ever dreamed of wearing too much eyeliner and looking tuff in an all-girl gang - comment.  I need to make this happen!

I'm in Chapel Hill, if that helps.

Man, I'm such a dork, but when one needs a girl gang, one gets a girl gang!

Who doesn't love boone's farm? I don't care how old I am - it's STILL good!

Awesome. Girl Gang - we need more recruits!

Also also - I notice you're a fan of board games, this is good!

Wow. You're in Chapel Hill, like Doctor Who, Cat & Girl and have Questionable Content icons. Why aren't we hanging out???

We have got to have some friends in common... it's not possible that we don't. I'm a Carrboro townie / university employee and a few of my friends are past townies / current grad stoodents.

I don't know! We might have friends in common, or at least acquaintances. I work at the University, my partner's a grad students and his brother lived in Carrboro for years (just moved to Durham) and he and his girlfriend know all the local knitters (if you know any of them). Me, I just sit on my stoop with a 40 and listen to the fat beats.

Um, or something like that. I might be losing something in the translation.

What department? I'm technically in Sociology. I had a friend (Jenn) who was a knitter in Durham, but she moved to Atlanta a year or so ago.

Dammit, I will no longer have a stoop once I finish moving out of my ex's place. I *will* have a sort of breezeway space, which will have to do for the aforementioned drinking. I don't tend towards the 40s, but I have been known to crack open a PBR or Yuengling on occasion when I'm not being a beer snob.

i don't drink 40s at all, actually. nor do i really listen to fat beats, but i do drink a lot of white russians on my stoop while watching the neighborhood kids stomp.

I've got some friends in SILS. Actually, I was sloppily embarrassingly drunk at a SILS party this past Saturday.

Yup, my friend is Jackie and she says she works with Dre at the UL.

Ahhh, the internets. I knew we had to be at least loosely connected, haha.

I am just the Queen of the Internets!

No, I asked my friend (who I'm on IM with right now) if there was a SILSter associated with a pharmacy employee. And I think she's at work right now, so she investigated, haha.

Sorry, a bit too many of my stalker skillz came through on that one, ha.

This is what happens when I procrastinate at work... I should be formatting Word tables or replying to emails. Oh well!

well, i drink white russians while watching 'the big lebowski' pretty regularly! not much for weapons though - my so-called yard tools are rusting in the shed, but some of them might still be dangerous!

I adore [info]muffyjo! We met through theater shenanigans in Somerville. I stayed in her (sadly ex-)condo last winter break. How do you know her?

Queerly, we must rumble. I say we pick a date and grab some jump rope. (I can't double dutch, but I might be able to find some rollerskates.) Sometime next week?

*crazy!* - she's close to my good friend Kerri, and while i've never met her, she did contribute to the "help carrie quit" fund a few years ago. awesome.

in any case, i'm free any time but M/W. pretty much.

I would totally join your gang, but alas, I have moved to Charleston, SC where unless you are sitting on a porch drinking a mint julep (or a can of bud light) you are uncouth and unpatriotic.

In order to rumble proper like, we're gonna have to have two girl gangs, so that we can have drive-by character assassinations, fierce double dutch competitions. Durham calls dibs on the Miller High life 40s.
