transfeminism exists to discuss the personal, social, political and academic intersections of gender variant identities with that of the feminist(s) movements.
That includes, but is by no means limited to:
This community wishes to offer a safe space for all for respectful, calm discussion of these controversial topics, (with the hope of establishing some common ground). In order to achieve this end, those who are not willing or are not capable of respectful dialogue with different minded (or differently gendered) people are discouraged from joining this community.
The Rules:
- This community is a trans-positive space, and all gender identities are welcome. Any user who engages in any sort of gender bashing, transphobia or other hate speech (racism, etc) will be immediately banned from this community.
- The moderator(s) of this community reserve the right to ban users without notice for personal attacks on other users, flaming, and general inappropriateness. Please feel free to notify the moderator(s) of any posts or comments that you feel are inappropriate for this community.
- Do not feed the trolls, or engage in flame wars. Please notify the moderator of this community of any users / posts / comments that contain trolls or flame wars. Users engaging in trolling or flame wars will be immediately banned.
- This community has been created for discussing the intersections of trans and feminist identities/communities. Please keep off-topic posts to a minimum. Posting advertisements for related communities and related events are welcome provided that these guidelines are followed:

- How to deal with transphobic remarks in feminist circles, and how to deal with anti-feminist remarks in trans circles
- Gender inclusion and exclusion, how to negotiate space in a respectful manner
- Possible political collaborations between feminist and trans-activist movements
- Personal experiences of the intersections between the two (venting and advice seeking)
- Intersections with other communities, such as various cultural, racial, or ethnic activist groups, differently-abled activist groups, etc.
