AboutHi and welcome to Trans Yay! :D This is basically a community to share positive news, experiences and whatever else that's relevent to transgendered people. :)
This community doesn't exist as a "reaction" to![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif)
tranny_rage but as a complement to it. :)
Please read through the rules CAREFULLY before joining!
1) No spam allowed. No advertising, or trying to promote your own community.
2) This is a safe space. As such the default post setting is "friends only". If you want to, you can change your own post to public though.
3) Unless you have permission from the original poster, do you not copy and paste portions of their post elsewhere, to forums, or your own journal/blog, etc... Even if your intentions are to "spread" the good news. The last thing we want is somebody to feel safe talking about their positive experiences here, only to have those experiences mocked elsewhere.
4) Remember that this is a place for POSITIVITY. There will be no mocking or putting down of other people's posts. You must be supportive if you comment. Please do not comment trying to "bring them down" or being cynical about their good news. :)
5) Similarly, please try not to "trump" other people's personal good news or experiences in a comment (you're welcome to make your own seperate unrelated post). Their news is important to them, and please don't (even if by accident or with good intentions) "over shadow" them with similar experiences where things turned out even better for you. This isn't a competition for who has the better life. :)
6) No racism/sexism/genderism/ageism and other "isms". Your "good news" should not be at the expense of others. :)
7) Use cuts where appropriate. This includes long posts, posts with pictures, etc and make sure your cut text is relevent to what's behind it. Put warnings where appropriate.
8) Do not delete comments to your post.
9) If you are linking to an article or news source, please copy and paste the text under a cut, to preserve it for convenience and also in case the article is removed.
