Life is normal. You go through your every day routine, and at the end of the day, you lay down and go to sleep. But when you wake up, you aren't in the same place. Nothing is the same as when you went to sleep. You've awoken in a world of dreams... or nightmares.

Welcome to Trans atLantic, a two-way transporter that only goes east and west across the worlds. It's the most highly technological transportation system created by man. Its tracks lie on the seams of the universes, catching just a glimpse of the citizens inside the borders. The Trans atLantic is owned by the megacorportation, DiaCorps. They welcome any and all lost souls into their facility, whether to seek refuge, or to help research the problem arisen from the Universal Computer. But none ever return.

The true intentions of DiaCorps is unknown, but they give an air of an underlying scheme, often through the shadowy words of the CEOs, only appearing for brief moments. They claim the teleporters are in proper order, and the Trans atLantic is safe for use. But is technology really that dependable? Maybe it's just the rumors of technical difficulties. Or perhaps it's human hands tampering with circuitry. All anyone knows is that one can only go so far without the use of this technology if they want to find their way home. Whether they find their way alive is up to DiaCorps.

&Before You Get Started;

Application Limits. Yes, you can apply for any character you desire. HOWEVER. There are some series that are more popular than others and tend to dominate a roleplay. Character applications for a series will be limited depending on the popularity of that series. Applications for an obscure series such as Violinist of Hameln may appear unlimited while a popular series like Bleach may only allow 10 characters at a time. It all depends entirely on the popularity of a series. If a player drops a character for a limited series, then a new slot will be open.

The character limit for FANDOM CHARACTERS is 16. You know how many characters you can handle, so don't overdo yourself.

The character limit for ORIGINAL CHARACTERS is 2. You may not apply an original character as your first character.

Please Note: Your application can be rejected for any number of reasons. The mods here are unbiased, however, a series may be frozen, we may feel you don't know your character well enough; it could be any reason. So, keep that in mind when you apply. It is nothing personal.

After applying, go to

trans_ooc and introduce yourself and who you're playing!

Character Reserves. Why yes, you CAN put a character on reserve. However, you only have one week to put in a proper application, or that character will be up for grabs again. Just try to get us an application in a timely manner.

Original Characters. Yes, we do allow original characters. However, these applications will be heavily reviewed by a mod with an OC and decide whether the character is "real" enough to be allowed. ALSO. Your first character may NOT be an original character. You must join with a fandom character for two months before you will be allowed to apply for an original character.

Power Restrictions. Some characters have powers, some have ENORMOUS powers. Characters who have limitless powers (i.e. shinigamis, super heroes, etc) will have restrictions. Death gods will NOT be allowed to kill just anyone, super heroes will get tired, and so on.

Character Angst. Characters get sad, and characters angst. But, as a player and a fan of the series, you should understand the difference between emo and angst. A character who gets depressed because they can't buy the cd they wanted? Emo. A character who's lost everything they own but still has the strength to look forward? Angst with a dash of hope. There IS a difference. And it's your job as the player to understand how it's different and keep the emo to a minimum.

Portals. Some characters can create portals, some characters can't. Heck, some characters can build a machine that makes portals for them. That's all fine and dandy. BUT. Considering how the situation has come to be, the portals don't always lead to where you want to go. You may be going through a portal to get to Halloween Town, but end up in Care-A-Lot. Portals are just as tempermental as the technology that connected the worlds.

Yaoi and Yuri. Yaoi and Yuri are fine, so long as the relationship has canon evidence. Series like Xena: Warrior Princess and Loveless are great examples of canon shoujo-ai and shounen-ai (respectively). Character relationships like Naruto and Sasuke or Dr. House and Dr. Wilson are NOT considered canon. If you wish to create a yaoi/yuri pairing within this roleplay, make sure there is valid proof that it would be in character. If you are unsure as to where your character falls, contact a mod and a decision will be reached. Do NOT argue with a mod about this.

Plotlines. Currently:
With all the worlds merged together, and supernatural and powerful beings within easy access, the organization DIACORP. has taken it upon themselves to get control of these worlds and their citizens.

As of now, they've made no moves, and are only in the planning stages of their schemes. Heaven help our ~~victims~~ heroes..

Community Joining. You will be required to join

trans_lantic with your character journal. If you don't, then you won't be able to post and play. D: But feel free to join and friend any of the other communities with your personal journal.

&Rules;

[.1] Do play nice. We're all players here to have fun. So, what's the point in being mean and causing drama? However, if problems do start, contact a mod and the proper measures will be taken. Also! While we all enjoy "crack" (fun bits solely for laughs), we ask that you keep it to a minimum. Sometimes it gets out of hand and causes problems.

[.2] Staying in Character. We understand that your character has been thrown into an environment that prevents them from being entirely canon, but we ask that you please keep your character as in character as you possibly can.

[.3] Proper English and Grammar. Most of the people here will be English speaking. We prefer that you post in English so that everyone can see what your character is writing. We also ask that you type correct english and not Lyk dYZ or l33t sp34k. We're all mature players here and we like to see each other acting mature.

[.4] Understanding your Character. If you're applying for a character, we assume that you know the character well enough to keep them in character. This includes their past (if one is given), their situation, how they would react to different things, and so on. We trust you to know these things, however, the mods will ultimately be the judge of how well you know your character based on your application.

[.5] Mpreg. While this is a multi-fandom, out of control roleplay, we still like to keep things as realistic as we can. Males do not and cannot get pregnant in this universe.

[.6] Log Posting. Logs can and are encouraged to be posted! It gives us an idea of what's going on with your character (and it gives us something to read!). HOWEVER. If your log is a smut/sex log, we ask that you please NOT post it unless something essential to the main plot happens. If this is the case, we ask that you remove the smut/sex and leave the before and plot. There will be underage players here.

[.7] Activity. You should have a character journal, and you are GREATLY encouraged to post in it! In fact, you must post in your journal at least every two weeks. Most character interaction when you first join will be through their journals. And comment! Don't be afraid to comment on a character's journal, even if you haven't seen the series/movie the character is from! That's the fun of this roleplay.

Also: IF YOU HAVE IT, you must be active via AIM (or any kind of messenger OR A LOG) 4 to 5 days a week (just being online is considered being active). Besides, this is where logs come from. Don't hesitate to IM someone if you want to roleplay something.

[.8] Hiatus. If you're going to be away for an extended amount of time, things came up that keep you from the roleplay, or just need some time away, be sure to post in your character's journal and in the OOC community and let us know. However, if someone is waiting to do a log with you, we ask that you PLEASE try to complete that log before going on hiatus. That character's activity may be depending on what happens in that log.

[.9] God Modding. If your muse chooses to fight with another character, then please keep reality in mind. Characters will get hurt. Superpowers are more than welcome, but don't overpower the other character. Controlling someone else's character will NOT be tolerated in any form or manner. Leave places open in your posting for the other character to dodge or get hit if they so desire.

[.10] Character rape and killing. Character rape will NOT be tolerated unless it is discussed with the players involved and a mod. Character killing is equally NOT tolerated unless discussed with players involved, a mod, and the character being killed is being dropped.

Once a character is "killed", the character may NOT be re-applied at any given time. This form of dropping a character should only be used as a last resort.

[.11] Player Drama. Seeing as we're all human, there's bound to be problems. If you have a problem with a player, we ask that you please, PLEASE keep the problem private between yourself, a mod, and the player you have a problem with. You may contact any of the mods via lj-cut post, email, or AIM. We will discuss the problem and try to get it taken care of as soon as possible. The player warning system will be explained once a situation calls for it.

[.12] Mod Abuse. Players abusing a mod: This will NOT be tolerated in any form. Backtalk, arguing, gossip, etc will need to be passed along to a mod and dealt with as soon as possible. This is a form of an "honor system". Player warning system will be explained once a situation calls for it.

Mods abusing a player: This will NOT be tolerated either. Restricting a player with no reason, making modly decisions without being discussed, etc will result in several warnings. If you are a player and feel you're being abused by a mod, quickly inform a different mod about the problem, giving detailed examples and the situation will be dealt with.

Rules. To ensure that you've read the rules, you MUST put the line "I need you so much closer" in the subject line of your first application.
