    And today’s the agreed upon day, my friends. Yay! As of right now, the Tortallan pups, including Adam and Raph, are locked out of the bar. Existing doors to Milliways have disappeared, and new ones won't be found; not for the next several years, at least.

    I will post the first four threads this evening and say something in the back room, mostly to alert Security to Alanna noticeably missing her shifts. Anything else I should add? I will then post things accordingly over the next two and a half weeks or so, or poke as needed. See notes below for questions. And if I'm missing any links, etc., just let me know and I'll add them in!

    I’ll be AFK from July 6-11, and then buried under boxes for at least several days.     Hello, all!

    My high school's motto was Festina Lente: make haste slowly (or something to that effect). I found it bizarre then and continue to do so now, but it's also strangely apt for the topic at hand. Yes, plot is still happening, in a reduced form. Furthermore, as of this post, I'd like to set the date for locking our characters out of the bar at two weeks from today. They'd be locked out for approximately 2 to 2 1/2 weeks, game time.

    Here's where we stand in terms of what we originally discussed:

    Numair pre-plot: I haven't heard anything about this in a while, and given the timing it probably won't work out as planned. If you guys still want to try to do something, let me know. Otherwise, shall we all agree that Numair made contact and is becoming a trusted friend (with some hesitancy on Alanna's part)?

    I've taken a few things out that weren’t started and didn't seem strictly necessary (feel free to reinstate if we can get them done -- original list is here). And if we started something and you don't think it can be finished, no worries; just let me know. Does anyone want to add or subtract anything? Whatever we can get done in two weeks, great. :)

    Here's my wish list: Rami, I’d love to do something with Alanna and Adam, but the time/place/event is totally flexible. I’d be up for anything! Bethan, same thing goes for Raoul.

    So! That's where we stand. Does anyone have any objections to the above or setting the lockout date at two weeks from tonight?

    And, last but not least: thank you all so much for indulging/humoring/enabling me! You’re all great, and I consider myself lucky to play with you.

    Greetings, all.

    Firstly: I checked the cast list, and it seems we have a Numair! YAY! *pauses for celebration* Welcome, Numair-mun. We are thrilled to have you. (In case you couldn't tell.) Could I get an e-mail address for you? Once we decide on plot shaped things, I'll probably fall back on e-mail to keep everyone in the loop.

    Speaking of plot shaped things...

    Plans for Numair’s arrival

    Ideas have been tossed around in regards to doing something with Numair's arrival in Tortall. This was before we had a Numair, of course, so Numair-mun this is entirely up to you. If you want to do something, great. If not, no worries. We can move straight to jumping the others forward six years.

    Essentially, I thought it might be fun to do something with Raph, who is still in Tortall for the foreseeable future. He has a notorious distaste for magic, and probably wouldn't take too kindly to sleights of hand/illusions/small cons; which is precisely why he came to mind when I was thinking about how Numair and the others could meet up. Raph could cross paths with him in Corus somewhere. If any of the above happened, he likely wouldn't enjoy the experience. Alanna and George would undoubtedly be told, leading them to investigate... that sort of thing. Again, we are not overly attached to this idea or anything. This is just one of many things we could do; it's completely your call. :D

    Six years out OOMs

    When I said Raph would be in Tortall for the foreseeable future... well. :D? With [info]ms_ntropy’s permission, I can tell you exactly how long that's going to be -- six years and a few weeks in change. Because she is awesome. He'll get used to leggings yet! *hides from him*

    I think that's everything. Following the above, they could start finding their way back to the bar. At roughly the same time as they do, Onua would be meeting Daine, and we are off and running with canon. Obviously when these would get posted depends on whether or not we do something with the first plot, and I don't want to lock our pups out of the bar until most of these threads are finished. But in terms of pre-threading, I can start putting posts up next week.

    How does that sound to everyone?

    And, one last question: Is there anything in particular you would like to see happen in these six years, threaded or written or just decided upon? A lot of the ficlet ideas I have in mind are triplet related, but once I start writing, I will run OOMs past all relevant parties.

    POSTING FOR ROGER-MUN

    OK guys. Rogerplot.

    Here's the deal:
    My take on Roger, though fairly popular when he presents himself, is, it seems to me, unfairly absent: by which I mean, I pop in every coupla months, muck up plotlines, make Delia cry, have sex with Thom, mess wtih Alanna, and ... scamper off.

    So here is my plan for the demise of Roger (more or less).

    The basic outline is pretty simple:
    Roger comes back to the bar, having made all the metaphysical arrangements for a final, epic assault on Tortall (that being the alibi for where the damn hell he's BEEN all this time--he's been figuring out how he can bring himself and companions back to Tortall for a coup). He arranges his allies: Delia (if Ashie's OK with that), Thom (more or less--we'll come back to this), possibly Mary Anne... basically anyone he can convince to be on his side, through seduction, personal wiles, whatever. I'll work that part out.

    Anyhow.

    Somehow, Alanna finds out about all this (perhaps through Thom--that's Ji's arena, and she and I will work it out I suppose). She summons her armies. All prep for a major coup in Tortall.

    The armies meet. Roger's gets defeated. In order to ramp up the drama to its highest level, I'd recommend Roger's defeat being sparked by Thom's defection to Alanna's side--just because Milli!Roger is actually in love with Thom (in his warped way). But yeah. Roger dies--kapoof!--goodbye Roger. And then you won't have to deal with my erratic presence anymore, and it someone wants to bring a different incarnation back... they've got my blessing.


    But anyway. Details, discussion, when should this go down?

     Okay, people, two things.

    A) I have created, mostly for point B, an NPC journal called [info]eldorne_folk. Leaving aside my plotness, it has icons of Delia's older brother Jemis, her sister-in-law Roxanne and her father Hallam. Now, my point of telling you this is very simple - most of the Tortall contingent are not Bound. Thus, they either live in Corus or can go there should the need/want arise. Jemis and Roxane are millicanoned as living there - Jem now working more as a scribe/admin person after his leg was crushed in the Tusiane war. I actually like playing snarky bitter Jemis, but I only can in OOMs.

    So! Should any of you want to do an OOM with Jemis while your character is in Corus, feel free to give me a bell. Just because, dude, it's a court. And everyone knows each other.

    B) The main point of my making the journal though is simple - I'm being evil. No, no death like last time (thirteen months ago, yo!), but it is related to that. Basically, the other day I gave Delia an OOM where she dreamed about herself and Jem. Over the next month and a half I'm going to give her a series of dreams involving her family (and...whatever else I decide to throw in). Good and bad, slightly different memories mixed in with the surreal and then possibly disturbing.

    Why?

    Because I'm evil. And the month and a half is important, but I'll let you guys work it out as that reason was just me going 'ugh. I need an IC reason, damn'.

    Thank you all, we need to use this thing more often.

    Many of you have heard vague rumblings of the plot I’ve had bouncing around my head for some time now. I’d really like to go ahead and make it happen. Thalia and I discussed this a few weeks back. Ideally, the plot would take no more than two weeks, and a good deal can be done beforehand. So! Finally, more explanation:

    Ok, so, Delia's left the building.

    She'll be back on my 2nd after midnight, Gar's 9am on the 1st and...no idea what time for the rest of you.

    So, this gives you guys until your 30th to sort out all the OOMs and posts and things like that. I can put up the trial whenever you guys want me to (within a couple of days and once I run it past Alyssa), so, it can be slow-timed if you want.

    So, basically, just tell me what you want to do.

    Also! If you guys could put up links to all the talking that you guys do about Delia up, that'd be lovely. No real reason outside of the plot ones, I just want to read :D

    I was going to put this up, but as Gar reminded me that more people might want to know what the hell I’m doing, I’ve gotten off my lazy tail. Before I start, I’d like to say this; this plot is mostly just to get Delia out of M’ways during a week where I’m on holidays, but shouldn’t be online too much. So, while I can thread with people, you have to let me know so I know to come online that day.

    So, ( brief-overview of what I’m doing )

    Now, a note on the trial. As several of you will be there, what I’m thinking of doing is this: having the post just setting the scene, and then have multiple comments of the actual trial itself, stopping at various points, so that the other characters can react either silently or with each other. Does that sound alright?

    So, any questions? Comments? Ideas? Things I'm missing?

    ETA: And Delia's father, Hallam, and brother, Jemis, will take her body back to Eldorne with them as well. Just as an aisde.
