| About: | Here's a place where people from Toronto and the GTA can post about the city and what's going on in it. It's your community but remember the rules: 1. No posts about anything not Toronto related. 2. Promotion is allowed for the purposes of promoting social, arts or community events in which the poster has no direct benefit (monetary or otherwise). Self promotion is not allowed. Please note that "introduction" posts are not allowed. 3.All advertisements be it "for sale" posts or otherwise, are to be limited to Sundays & Wednesdays. They are to be a maximum of 5 lines long; Any additional lines and all images must be put behind an "lj-cut". 4. No fighting with members in posts. 5. Subject headings are very important! So are tags. Please include both in your post. 6. Pictures are to be under 500px in any one dimension. Anything larger OR embedded video is to be "lj-cut" 7. 500 word limit for the post. If it is longer, please "lj-cut" 8. No obscene or harsh profanity please in your post (comments, ok). 9. Do not remove the comment feature from your post and do not delete comments whatsoever. 10. Protected entries are allowed where the question/content being asked could directly impact the poster's health or safety. Otherwise please do not mark your posts private. Any questions about this policy, please ask before you post where possible. 11. No posts soliciting or advising on anything illegal or questionably legal. Please use The Feedster Toronto Community Search before posting something common like asking for a recommendation. It's probably been asked before. If the last recommendation is more than a year old, then feel free to post asking again. Please label your posts appropriately with a relevant subject heading and appropriate tags. This makes finding a post in the archives 100% easier and faster for other users. BEFORE you post to the Toronto Community, check the archives to see if your question has been asked. If it has, don't post it again. This annoys more people than you know. Also, it's a good idea to do some research before posting to the community. Available sites include Google, Toronto.com, Yellow Pages and of course the wonderful TTC.ca for all your transit needs. Your post may be deleted if it doesn't follow the rules and you will be banned you if you break the rules too often. We also don't tolerate members who post asking why their entry was deleted, how they think this community should be run, insults towards the moderators, etc...If you have a problem, e-mail us. We'll be glad to help you out. If a post of yours was deleted, please contact one of us to discuss it further if you feel it was in error.
