Tommy Westphall's Mind: A Multiverse Explored
|
|
|
| More Wanderers... |
[May. 31st, 2007|06:18 pm] |
Well, time flies when... well, time just flies.
Our good friend johnmunch sent us an update to his Westphall's Wanderers project months and months ago and I never got around to uploading it onto the site. So now that the 2006-07 season has come to an end, I waited until the project was further updated and now I've uploaded the entire thing here.
The Wanderers list keeps track of actual character crossovers between series, specifically listing the when and where - while our Key explains the whys and hows.
Additions to this update include Blossom, Civil Wars, Day by Day, I Dream of Jeannie, the very short-lived Public Morals and the very long-lived and still-running ER.
Enjoy! And one day, we'll update the Grid and the Key, too. |

More Wanderers by johnmunch |
[Oct. 19th, 2006|10:25 pm] |
While westphallian and I continue to work on the update of the Tommy Westphall Universe (playing God is hard work), I've posted a further update of johnmunch 's exhaustive Westphall's Wanderers guide - currently clocking in at 183 pages!
This file is an adjunct to the main universe fun - Grid and Key - containing a lot of data about crossover appearances by actors in shows linked to St. Elsewhere. Highly recommended, as usual.
New in this addition? Archie Bunker and spin-offs, the original E/R, another Lucille Ball show, Newhart, L.A. Law - and the entire Brady clan... from the Bunch to The Bradys. And lots more! |

johnmunch's wanderers |
[Aug. 30th, 2006|06:54 pm] |
Westphall's Wanderers is an adjunct to the Tommy Westphall Universe - a large file of actual crossover appearances that mostly, but not always, conform to the rules of the universe as crossoverman and westphallian see them.
But it is mighty helpful when searching for actors who trip merrily through the universe: in the same guise or in different guises.
It also helps out with dream sequences and odd appearances that are not easily explained.
This update - way overdue - sees details for ALF, Conviction and various Lucille Ball series added. Plus some updates on old favourites, like the long-running Law & Order universe!
Enjoy the details. |

| The Wanderers |
[Jun. 5th, 2006|05:13 pm] |
johnmunch has update his Westphall Wanderer's List - a detailed guide to actual actor/character appearances across the Westphallverse... and a little bit beyond. It's Tommy Westphall AU, really. But the bulk of it is relevant and an exhaustive amount of research has gone into it.
Added this time, the rural comedies: The Andy Griffith Show, Gomer Pyle USMC, Mayberry RFD, The Beverley Hillbillies, Green Acres and Junction... (pause for effect) Petticoat Junction!
Apologies to johnmunch for not posting this a lot earlier! Another update expected very soon. |

Another Grid and Key update soon - next week sometime - which shall include another six or seven series, including some that were on the grid once upon a time but fell off for a while after our original information was proven incorrect. But now they are back!
In the meantime, check out the work of johnmunch - it's crazy detailed!

As discussed here,
Mr Carlin (Jack Riley) from "The Bob Newhart Show" appeared on an
episode of ALF, that whacky sitcom about Gordon Schumway, the hairy
three foot alien from the planet Melmac!
Thanks to johnmunch for that revelation!
Also, thanks to johnmunch is a detailed document
about the crossovers to and from "Homicide: Life on the Street" and
"The X Files", which of course both featured Detective John Munch - our
own crossover detectives' namesake. When I say detailed, I mean very detailed. Imagine if the whole Westphall-verse was logged like that!!
So The Grid has been updated with ALF, to which I am unaware of any further crossover links. But here's to searching for them...
The Key will be updated soon-er-ish... smashsc?? Which will also, hopefully, include details about TV Movie, Mini-Series and Feature Film spin-offs - which johnmunch has been hassling me about ;-)
The front page of the Multiverse Site has been added to - the exceptions to the rule stuff from The Key, which was posted here a while back, and is always available on The Key.
I guess the JPEG needs updating, too. smashsc? :-)
