Tolkien Weekly Challenges

Welcome to Tolkien Weekly, a drabble community which welcomes drabbles based on any of the Works of JRR Tolkien, not just Lord of the Rings. Every Monday night at midnight a new challenge is set. All members then have seven days to let that challenge inspire them to write as many or as few drabbles as they like.

We stick to the strict definition of the term 'drabble' here, so please try to make sure that your stories are exactly one hundred words long - not a word more or less. That's why it's called a challenge!

Please include headers on all of your posts and always put the drabble behind a cut. Headers should take roughly the following form, although we won't send the wargs after you for minor variations:

Characters/Pairing:
Rating:
Warnings: (writers should warn readers for major squicks like character death, blood, incest and the like)
Book/Source: (Hobbit, Silm, LotR, HoME, UT, other). If your work is movie-verse, please say so here.
Disclaimer: (very important. Forget this once, we'll send a warning. Forget it twice, we'll send a very angry Gimli to chop you into tiny pieces.)
