Tales of Dressing Room OOC Community

I have made some minor changes to the rules on the main community's profile to clarify any possible misconceptions anyone has made regarding them.

No rules have been changed, only the wording. I have also laid out my typical style of addressing rule breakers: One warning for a rule violation, and a ban for failing to comply and/or future rule violations.

I also want to stress the fact that there are many types of characters here on Tales of Dressing due to the very nature of the RP. They are all welcome here, even the crazier and crackier ones. The ONLY time I will EVER address a player with a warning is when they have broken a rule. Everyone is free to play here, as well as choose to play with characters they like or not play with characters that they dislike.

Okay guys, listen up. We are totally running out of tags. I've tried to clean up all tags that have 0 uses (misplaced or misspelled ones mostly), but even without those we're nearly out of free spaces.

SO. What I propose to do is to DELETE ALL TAGS WITH ONE USE ON POSTS OLDER THAN JANUARY 1, 2009. Anyone have any objections?

Or rather an older one that finally decided he was tired waiting around for his kid to be born. So Zelos Wilder imported formerly from digital_dive has come to make his roost. With him comes five more years post-Symphonia 2 but said game got screwed to high heaven anyhow ^_^;;

To answer:

A) Yes those are real wings tipped with pink magic. He got them in a nasty long-transformation.

B) He's suffering Angelus Crystal blah blah. He drinks a herbal tea synthed from Digital World herbs brought with him on his exit from that world.

C) Yes he's married. It won't stop him from macking on any women and Sheenas.

D) He's got two lovely kids coming his way, Jake and Chi.

E) He was heavily shipped with another so don't expect him to break loyalty too easy.

F) Minnie the Lopmon goes where he goes. Get used to a tiny little rabbit toting a ginormous Presea-sized battle axe with her that sounds like a certain actress who played Minerva McGonagall.

I'm sorry about the corny title, but I felt like I needed to do it.
I joined the dressing room about a week ago, and upon coming here I notice it seems customary to make an intro post. SO, I'm mitsukaru and Talesofdressing is my first serious rping community. I've been a fan of Tales since Symphonia, and I have played Abyss, Phantasia, Legendia, Vesperia, and Hearts as well. I've only beaten Symphonia but I'm PRETTY CLOSE in Abyss.
You'll see me around as an Au!Raven who is basically actual who Raven is, as in he was never in the knights/known as Schwann. Also he was married to Casey. And Anise and Moses are his kids. This Raven in based on a fanfiction I'm writing, the concept of which was pretty much inspired by my opinion that Anise and Raven look like they could be related, and Moses and Raven act like they could be related.
I found the dressing room through my lovely friend kekahe , who along with her Au!Estelle healingblastia will also (hopefully) be maintaining an AU!Anise that goes along with my AU!Raven, aniseoltorain . Because she's awesome like that. 
Also it should be noted that I am a humongous Raven fangirl, and I am considering also doing a Guy Cecil, if there is not one already. Pray tell if there is.

And now, a couple of modly notes. Let's take a quick look at some rules a few people have been slipping up on lately.

3) Please use proper spelling and grammar when making posts or comments.

We've been getting quite a few characters whose players are using sloppy spelling, grammar, and formatting when posting and commenting. IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT YOU SPELLCHECK, USE PROPER PUNCTUATION, AND AVOID COMMON GRAMMAR MISTAKES. Otherwise, other players are stuck scratching their heads trying to understand your comment and in turn make them want to play with you less often.

Some common mistakes I've been seeing include:

- Your and You're. "Your" is possessive, as in "your apple gel". "You're" describes being, as in "you're eating my apple gel".

- Capitalization. Letters at the beginning of a sentence, a name, or a place are always capitalized, as well as the pronoun "I". "Yesterday, I took Yuri and Flynn to the brothel in Zelore."

- Tense shift. A phrase should always have verbs in the same tense. Mixing past, present, and future tenses is incorrect. "Tomorrow, I gave Luke a massage." is incorrect, as well as "Senel cry and yelled Stella's name." The correct versions would be, "Tomorrow, I will give Luke a massage." and "Senel cried and yelled Stella's name."

If you truly have an issue with spelling and grammar, don't be afraid to ask someone to proof-read your posts!

5) Put some thought into your characters and posts. Crack is most definitely welcome here, but try to be creative and original about it. Also, godmodding is extremely frowned upon.

There's been some activity among players that have been dangerously approaching godmodding. Godmodding is basically taking control of things and situations your character has no business controlling. This would include:

- In a fight scene, not giving the other player to have their character dodge.
- Killing off another character without permission.
- Starting a huge, worldwide event without prior discussion or permission.
- Placing another character in a relationship with yours without permission.
- Having your character use abilities or get in or out of situations when they have no good reason to.

Also, the first part of the rule still applies. Even crack characters deserve depth and characterization! Even if it is silly.

Other than this, you guys have done a pretty good job of staying legal. But please look at your own playing style and see what needs to be worked on!

FINALLY, A NOTE ON CHARACTERS FROM VESPERIA PS3 AND VESPERIA: FIRST STRIKE. Although we normally have a 1-month delay between Japanese releases and allowing their characters, I'm making a special exception for these two. Since info about Vesperia's world has been available for well over a year, characters from the Vesperia PS3 port (released September 17th) are currently allowed. Characters from the movie, The First Strike, will be allowed on its release date, October 3.

I've played a variety of 'Tales of' games, the first and my absolute favorite being Tales of the Abyss, which I just finished my 2nd-playthrough of. In addiction to Abyss, I've also played (but... not beaten) Legendia, Vesperia, Phantasia, Hearts, Innocence, and Tempest.

Yes, you read that right. Hiatus. I originally planned this as a one week leave but hell, I'll explain this so I won't have to repeat myself all over again.

My family will go on a trip for three days. I expect no computer. So yeah. And then I planned to be back on the 22nd so that I could use the time to prepare the advancement of this Chloe I RP. The problem is, my father is going back here in the 22nd and will be staying here for a week. AND I WOULDN'T DARE GO TOUCH THE COMPUTER BECAUSE HE'LL BE RANTING OF HOW LONG I STAY HERE EVEN THOUGH I'M USING IT FOR A MINUTE OR SO. So. Yeah.
